Abstract
Disclosed is a method and a device for carrying out the method in which an installed position of a component, for example a grid network of synthetic fibers, can be detected in a contactless manner, characterized in that the component is first scanned along a predefined measurement path by means of a pulsed measurement beam. The signal reflected by the component and modulated on the basis of the regularity of the grid network is detected and evaluated with respect to the geometrical constants of the component.
