Abstract
A pressure reducing valve in which one end of a valve body capable of being seated on a valve seat provided on the body side is coaxially connected to the center of a diaphragm held at its peripheral edge between the body and a diaphragm cover and in which a coil spring is held in a contracted state between the diaphragm cover and the diaphragm. The diaphragm cover (17) integrally has a closed bottomed circular tube section (17a) which allows that end of the coil spring (118) which is on the opposite side of the diaphragm (115) to be in contact with the closed end of the tube section (17a). The diaphragm cover (17) is formed by press-forming a thin metal material. An adjustment member (72), which can be advanced and receded in the direction of the axis coaxial with the valve body (59), is threaded on the body (16), on the opposite side of the diaphragm (115) across the valve body (59). A rear-side coil spring (74) is placed between the adjustment member (72) and the other end of the valve body (59). The diaphragm cover is made by press-forming a thin metal material to reduce costs and weight. The load of the coil spring is adjustable.
