Abstract

Provided is a part (21, 31) alternative to a lock lever for a modular plug which is installed onto the modular plug (2) in place of a lock lever (5) when the lock lever (5) formed on the modular plug (2) for keeping the state thereof connected to a modular jack (1) falls off. The alternative part is characterized in that the part comprises a base portion (22, 32) installed onto the base end of the modular plug (2) and a lock lever- alternative portion (23) which is so bent from the base part (22, 32) to the tip end direction as to be formed in a cantilevered beam-like shape and at the tip end of which a lock part (29) capable of being locked to the modular jack (1) is formed.
