Definitions
- the invention relates to household appliances, and in particular, to devices for oral hygiene, in particular to toothbrushes, the effect of which is associated with a mechanical effect on the surface of the gums and teeth.
- the main disadvantage of this brush is the irritating effect of the hard hairs of the cleaning head on the surface of the gums and teeth, as a result of which bleeding and microtrauma of the gums and oral cavity often occur.
- the main objective of the invention is to create a toothbrush with a therapeutic effect that has the ability to stop the irritating effect of the hard hairs of the brushing head on the surface of the gums and teeth and increase the healing effectiveness of its use when using toothpastes that include photosensitizers used in photodynamic therapy.
- an optical unit is also included, containing light-emitting diodes of one or more colors, and a power supply unit for light-emitting diodes, moreover light emitting diodes are arranged in such a way that their radiation is directed mainly towards the surface treated by the brush. It is advisable to place light emitting diodes inside and / or around the hair or plastic cleaning head.
- the radiation wavelength of the light emitting diodes is selected from the range of 390-1000 nm.
- the light emitting diodes were electrically combined into groups according to the color of the glow, and in groups connected to one or more parallel circuits that are connected in series and connected to the power supply.
- the power supply may contain an electric voltage source, consisting of one or more in series and / or parallel-connected batteries or accumulators, a voltage converter and a current modulator, the outputs of which form the outputs of the power supply.
- the current modulator be configured to provide modulation of the current at one or more biologically active frequencies lying in the range of O 5 Ol - 10000 Hz.
- the influence of the monochromatic radiation of the light emitting diodes of the optical unit on the surface of the gums and teeth helps to stop the irritating effect of the hard hairs of the brush head on the treated surface and improves the health-improving effectiveness of the proposed toothbrush with a therapeutic effect when using toothpastes, which include photosensitizers used in the photo dynamic therapy.
- the modulation of the brightness of the radiation of light emitting diodes by biologically active frequencies lying in the range of 0.01 - 10000 Hz is used.
- light emitting diodes are connected in one or more parallel circuits that are connected in series and connected to a power supply.
- the power supply unit of the light emitting diodes can conveniently be located in the hollow handle, and the light emitting diodes themselves are located at the distal end of the handle, for example, near (around) or inside the hair or plastic cleaning head so that light passes between the hairs of the cleaning head, illuminating the surface, processed by brush.
- FIG. 1 schematically shows a toothbrush with a therapeutic effect with some possible options for the location of light emitting diodes at the distal end of the handle.
- FIG. 5 in FIG. 2 is an electrical block diagram of a toothbrush with a therapeutic effect.
- a toothbrush with a therapeutic effect contains a hollow plastic handle 1, a hair or plastic cleaning head 2 located at the distal end of the handle 1, an optical unit 3 (Fig. 2) containing light-emitting diodes 4-5 ( Fig. l) of one or more colors.
- Light emitting diodes 4-5 are located inside and / or around the cleaning head 2 of the toothbrush
- Light emitting diodes of different glow colors have different operating voltages. Therefore, in order to simplify the electrical power supply circuit of the optical unit 3, light emitting diodes 0 4-5 are electrically combined into groups according to the color of the glow, but spatially they can be arranged in any way. In these groups, to improve the reliability of the electric circuit of the toothbrush, light emitting diodes 4-5 are connected in one or more parallel circuits, which are connected5 in series, and through a switch 8 are connected to a power supply 9, consisting of one or more batteries 10, a voltage converter 11 and a current modulator 12, the outputs of which form the outputs of the power supply.
- Light emitting diodes 4-5 propagate parallel to the hairs 7 of the cleaning head 2 and directed towards the treated area of the surface of the gums and teeth. Such an arrangement of diodes 4-5 allows for uniform illumination of the treated area with a cleaning head 2 zones, and significantly reduce the inflammatory processes that often occur when brushing your teeth.
- the power supply unit 9 of the toothbrush converts the output voltage of the voltage source (series or parallel connected batteries 10) into the operating voltage of the optical unit 3 and maintains this voltage throughout the entire life of the brush until the voltage sources exhaust the supply of electricity.
- the current modulator 12 included in the power supply unit 9 provides modulation of a direct current supplying light-emitting diodes at one or more biologically active frequencies lying in the range of 0.01 - 10000 Hz.
- the intensity modulation of the optical radiation of the light emitting diodes of the optical unit 3 is carried out according to the same law as the modulation of the current supplying the light emitting DIODES.
- a toothbrush with a therapeutic effect works as follows.
- the power supply 9 When the switch 8 is turned on, the power supply 9 generates a supply voltage for the optical unit 3 and light emitting diodes 4-5 begin to emit light, illuminating the surface of the gums and teeth treated by the cleaning head 2 of the toothbrush.
- Monochromatic radiation of light emitting diodes 4-5 affects the surface of the gums and teeth and contributes to stopping surface irritation caused by hard hairs 7 of the cleaning head 2 of the brush.
- Monochromatic radiation of light-emitting diodes modulated by one or several biologically active frequencies that stimulate the development of biological systems, acts on the gum surface, helps to stop surface irritation caused by the hard hairs of the brush head and can stimulate the treatment of various violations of the gum and tooth surfaces.
- the inventive toothbrush with a therapeutic effect helps to stop the irritating effect of the hard hairs of the brush head on the surface being treated by the action of the monochromatic radiation of the light emitting diodes of the optical unit on the surface of the gums and teeth, and improves the healing efficiency of the proposed toothbrush with a therapeutic effect when using toothpastes, including photosensitizers used in photodynamic therapy.
