Abstract

Provided is an air conditioning apparatus which can judge an accurate refrigerant quantity by stabilizing compression pressure, even when an outdoor temperature varies during refrigerant quantity judging operation. An outdoor temperature sensor (36) detects an outdoor temperature (Ta). An outdoor fan (28) sends outdoor air to an outdoor heat exchanger (23) which functions as a compressor. A control section (8) PI-controls the outdoor fan (28) while varying a gain in accordance with the outdoor temperature (Ta). In the PI control, a discharge pressure (Pd) from a compressor (21) is adjusted to be stably kept for a prescribed time, and a refrigerant quantity in a refrigeration circuit (10) is judged by using the state quantity of the refrigerant flowing in the refrigeration circuit (10).
