Abstract
[PROBLEMS] To provide a printer by which a read/write range wherein communication is performed with a RF tag can be adjusted wide, without requiring a complicated mechanism nor changing the arrangement position of a RFID antenna. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A RFID antenna (20) which performs communication with a RF tag (6) is arranged so that a vertical line of a coil surface intersects with a vertical line of a surface of a label (3) transferred on a label continuous body transfer path and the transfer direction of the label (3) transferred on the label continuous body transfer path, and that the longitudinal direction is along the labelcontinuous body transfer path. The RFID antenna is turnably configured by having the vertical line of a coil surface of a rectangular coil (21) as a rotating axis (23).
