Abstract

A three-dimensional geometric model generator generating an elaborate three-dimensional geometric model reflecting the geometric features inherent to a modeling object even in the case of a modeling object not included in a three-dimensional geometric model information group. A three-dimensional geometric model generation method, a computer program, and a three-dimensional geometric model generation system are also provided. Based on the three-dimensional geometric data of a plurality of modeling objects, a group of three-dimensional geometric model information of the modeling objects is generated. The three-dimensional geometric model information thus generated is subjected to multivariate analysis and a plurality of feature amounts are extracted. The plurality of feature amounts thus extracted are stored and three-dimensional geometric model information belonging to a predetermined group is generated based on the value of feature amounts. When input of three-dimensional geometric data of a modeling object not subjected to multivariate analysis is accepted, three-dimensional geometric model information is generated based on that three-dimensional geometric data, and the values of a plurality of feature amounts corresponding to the three-dimensional geometric model information are estimated.
