Abstract

Provided are a liquid crystal display panel, a liquid crystal display element, a liquid crystal display device, a television receiver, and a substrate for the liquid crystal display panel, which can reduce the parasitic capacity to occur between a common electrode and a wiring confronting each other. The liquid crystal display panel comprises a pair of confronting substrates, and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the substrates. The common electrode is disposed on one of the substrates on the side of the liquid crystal layer, and the wiring is disposed on the other substrate on the side of the liquid crystal layer. At least one of the substrates constituting the liquid crystal display panel has such an insulating layer on the side of the liquid crystal layer as is arranged between the common electrode of one substrate and the wiring of the other substrate.
