Abstract

It is possible to control an information device (10) including: a broadcast reception unit (14) which can receive a program at least one of a first broadcast band or a second broadcast band having a narrower band than the first broadcast band; and an interface which can be connected to a display device. The display device (21A) is controlled by a plural-screen mode in which the screen is divided into a plurality of display regions and displaying information in the respective display regions and a single-screen mode in which information is displayed in a single display region. The present invention monitors a state of the information device (10) including at least one of the state of the broadcast reception unit (14), the state of the display device (21A), and the state of the control device (10A). When the state is judged to correspond to a predetermined condition, the broadcast reception unit (14) is controlled to receive a program from the second broadcast band.
