Description

Description AN ADJUSTMENT ARRANGEMENT
[ 1 ] Field of the Invention
[2] The present invention relates to a stepped and movable adjustment arrangement which is used for adjusting panels, screens, mirrors and similar equipments to various angles and wherein assembly and dismantling are facilitated.
[3] Background of the Invention
[4] Turning the television screen, mirror, panel and similar equipments towards various directions and movement thereof upwardly and downwardly can not be attained by the present systems. In the systems within the art, there are approaches like controlling arms placed on a mechanism. The said equipments are fixed and only used in a single angle and cannot be adjusted in three dimensions upon the preference of the user. The present mechanisms also cause inconvenience in use.
[5] The German patent application No. DE 202004007894 discloses plate hinges having one or more studs. With the said hinges, the plates can be moved towards two directions. The hinge is made from materials produced with the method of metal casting or non-metal casting or injection molding.
[6] In the International patent application No. WO03092341, another state of the art, a swivel arm is fixed to a support arm for rotation through various directions. This way, the electronic devices can be rotated and tilted.
[7] However, difficulties are encountered in the assembly of the adjustment mechanisms cited in the applications within the state of the art. In addition to not providing three dimensional movements, initial set up of these assemblies are realized with difficulty.
[8] Summary of the Invention
[9] The objective of the present invention is to realize a stepped adjustment arrangement which can move forwards and backwards and towards right and left and where a three dimensional movement capability is provided by being rotated like a flywheel.
[10] Another objective of the invention is to realize an adjustment arrangement which has a simplified assembly.
[11] Detailed Description of the Invention
[12] The adjustment arrangement realized to fulfill the objectives of the present invention is illustrated in the accompanying figures, in which;
[13] Figure 1 is the view of the adjustment arrangement.
[14] Figure 2 is cross-sectional view of the housing.
[15] Figure 3 is the perspective view of the adjustment arrangement.
[16] The parts in the figures are numbered individually where the numbers refer to the following: [17] 1. Adjustment arrangement
[18] 2. Housing
[19] 3. Stand
[20] 4. Knob
[21] 5. Bore
[22] 6. Coupling member
[23] 7. Holder
[24] 8. Spring
[25] 9. Ball
[26] The inventive adjustment arrangement (1) comprises at least one housing (2) which is mounted to the equipment or the surface to which the equipment is attached, by at least one stand (3) via at least one coupling member (6); a knob (4) which is inserted by pushing through the opening of the housing (2) and which is ensured to be fully surrounded by the housing (2) and which contains bores (5) thereon.
[27] The knob (4) is mounted on the equipment or surface to which the equipment is attached, via at least one coupling member (6), and serves as a male pin.
[28] The housing (2), that is in the shape of a sphere with a truncated end, comprises at least one holder (7), which has a spring (8) which performs compression and at least one ball (9) at the end of the spring (8) connected to the end of the spring (8), and which adjusts the pressure of the spring (8).
[29] The housing (2), that is the adjustment arrangement (1) element, surrounds the knob
(4) from outside. The housing (2), that is produced from plastics or a similar material, which has resilience; is pushed forward and mounted onto the knob (4). The arrangement (1) is moved in a wide angle. The housing (2) is pulled out in order to disengage from the knob (4) whereby the basic elements of the adjustment arrangement (1) are disconnected. The mentioned assembly method of the adjustment arrangement (1) provides the user with a great conveniance.
[30] In another embodiment of the invention, the spring (8) and the ball (9) located on the holder (7) ensure fixing in small position changes. The ball (9) on the holder (7) fits into any one of the bores (5) on the knob (4) and maintains its position unless the user makes a turning movement. When the user exerts sufficient force in order to change the position of the panel or similar equipment, the ball (9) gets out of the bore (5) it is situated and fits into another bore (5) by means of the thrust provided by the spring (8). This way, a stepped adjustment is provided.
[31] Three dimensional movements are not limited to a single angle; the exact angle, in which the panel, mirror and similar equipments are desired to be used, is achieved by the movement mechanism realized by the engagement of the ball (9) with the bores (5). For example, if a small change is desired to be made in the placement of the panel which is desired to be moved to the right, the smallest movement change to be made towards the right direction is realized by the stepped movement provided by the ball (9), within the housing (2), fitting into a bore (5) which is above or below or next to the bore (5) that it is located on the knob. Getting out of one bore (5) and easily fitting into another bore (5) of the ball (9) is facilitated by a spring (8) which is disposed on the holder (7) and also connected with the ball (9). The described operation mechanism is realized the same way for movement towards left, up and down.
[32] In another embodiment of the invention, the adjustment arrangement (1), which is viewed as a closed sphere by insertion of the knob (4) into the housing (2), can be turned 360 degrees like a flywheel. This uncomplicated structure of the arrangement (1), which is moved to every direction (ability to be turned and directed forwards, backwards, towards left and right) in three dimensions, provides simplicity in assembly.
[33] In another embodiment in which the inventive adjustment arrangement (1) is used at the back of the television panels, a three dimensional movement opportunity is attained whereby a convenience is provided in mounting and dismantling of the cables used at the inlets located at the back of the panel. In this way, a solution also is provided also for the need of a fastening member.
[34] Within the framework of the basic principles described herein, development of various embodiments of the invention is possible. The inventive adjustment arrangement (1) can not be limited with the examples provided above to facilitate understanding of the subject. The invention is essentially according to the claims.
