Abstract

L'invention concerne un élément d'étanchéité universel (MUS) permettant de fermer hermétiquement l'ouverture d'un emballage, qui est composé d'une ouverture oblongue bordée d'un cadre et pourvue de surfaces d'étanchéité qui ferment hermétiquement celle-ci lorsqu'elles sont pincées l'une contre l'autre. Le cadre du MUS est souple et comprend une jupe à rebord qui peut se fixer soit sur une surface d'un sachet d'emballage avant son remplissage, soit sur une surface d'un sachet prérempli. Pour ouvrir un emballage fermé par un MUS, l'utilisateur presse les deux extrémités du MUS l'une contre l'autre, de manière à déformer vers l'extérieur les parois latérales du cadre. Dans une variante, les parois latérales s'ouvrent lorsqu'elles se libèrent de l'emprise d'un élément pinceur. Par ailleurs, Les MUS peuvent être fixés sur des emballages étanches préremplis au moyen d'un applicateur automatique, ou par l'utilisateur qui peut fixer à son gré un MUS sur un emballage hermétique, à l'instar des étiquettes autocollantes sur les emballages.
