Abstract
A process of combustion of a combustible material in a combustion chamber associated at least with admission means conducting and admitting an oxygen containing gas in the combustion chamber and exhaust means exhausting combustion flue gases out of the chamber and conducting the flue gases towards an outlet system, in which : - the combustion chamber and/or the outlet system is provided with a catalyst and/or a filtering and/or a trapping support adapted to contact the combustion flue gases, and in which the catalyst and/or filtering and/or trapping support is rejuvenated intermittently with a composition containing at least one atom selected from the group consisting of cerium, europium, ytterbium, praseodynium, neodynium and mixtures thereof, in presence of gases at a temperature higher than 200°C, characterized in that the intermittent rejuvenation is carried out in presence of gases with a CO2 content of less than 5 volume %, advantageously less than 3%, preferably less than 1% and a water vapour and/or OH. radical content of more than 5 volume %, advantageously more than 10%, preferably more than 15%.
