Description

Description MULTIPURPOSE WATER TANK
Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to a multipurpose water tank, and more particularly, to an efficient, safe, easy-to-use, sanitary, and multipurpose water tank for use in various fields including drinking water, agricultural water, and livestock industries. Background Art
[2] Various impurities and foreign substances are deposited on the bottom of a conventional water tank, and the deposited amounts increases with time. These deposited matter and water remaining in the water tank provide good environment for growth of microbes. However, it is difficult to completely remove the deposited impurities and foreign substances.
[3] In a convention water filtering system, a hose is coupled to a filtering net, and then the hose is inserted into a water tank for sucking water. The sucked water is used after it is purified using an additional filter. However, the conventional water filtering system has low water filtering efficiency. Furthermore, the water sucking pressure of the water filtering system can be easily decreased, or a motor of the water filtering system can be easily broken due to overload. In addition, since the water filtering system is a manual system, operators can be injured by accidents while operating the water filtering system.
[4] Moreover, when a detergent (chemical) is used to wash a water tank, sanitary and environmental problems can arise due to the detergent remaining in the water tank. Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem
[5] Accordingly, the present invention is directed to a water tank that substantially obviates one or more of the problems due to limitations and disadvantages of the related art.
[6] An object of the present invention is to provide a multipurpose water tank including a filter part at a lower portion for collecting impurities and foreign substances and a reverse washing structure for washing the impurities and foreign substances off the filter part. Brief Description of the Drawings
[7] FIG. 1 is a sectional view illustrating a water tank according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[8] FIG. 2 is a partial sectional view illustrating of the water tank according to an embodiment of the present invention. [9] FIG. 3 is a cut-away view illustrating a portion of the water tank according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[10] FIG. 4 is a sectional view illustrating a water tank according to another embodiment of the present invention.
[11] FIG. 5 is a sectional view illustrating a water tank according to another embodiment of the present invention. Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
[12] FIG. 1 is a sectional view illustrating a water tank 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention. FIGs. 2 and 3 are a partial sectional view and a cut-away view the water tank 1. The present invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[13] The water tank 1 can have various shapes such as a cylindrical shape and a rectangular box shape. The water tank 1 can be installed at a desired place using a base 2. The water tank 1 includes an inlet 3 and a lid 4 for selectively closing and opening the inlet 3. A water supply pipe 6 is connected to an upper portion of the water tank 1, and a float valve 5 is coupled to the water supply pipe 6. Owing to the float valve 5, water can be automatically supplied to the water tank 1 through the water supply pipe 6 while automatically maintaining water at a desired level.
[14] A reverse washing water inlet pipe 7 branches off from the water supply pipe 6, and a plurality of nozzles 7 a is formed on an end of the reverse washing water inlet pipe 7 to remove foreign substances deposited on a filter part 8 formed at a lower portion of the water tank 1.
[15] A fine filter net 9 is disposed on the filter part 8. The fine filter net 9 is sloped down toward its center portion at approximately the same oblique angle as a bottom side of the water tank 1 (about 10°). In this case, foreign substances collected by the fine filter net 9 can be easily removed during reverse washing. Water purified after passing through the fine filter net 9 can be discharged through a water outlet pipe 10. Washing water used to wash the fine filter net 9 (reverse washing) can be discharged through a reverse washing water outlet pipe 11. A valve 12 is disposed in the middle of the reverse washing water outlet pipe 11.
[16] Valves 13 and 14 are disposed at the water supply pipe 6 and the reverse washing water inlet pipe 7 to close and open the water supply pipe 6 and the reverse washing water inlet pipe 7, respectively.
[17] A chemical such as an agricultural chemical can be poured into the water tank 1 through the inlet 3 and then be agitated. According to another embodiment of the present invention shown in FIG. 4, an agitation water injection pipe 15 can be provided between the filter part 8 and a side portion of the water tank 1, and a pump (P) can be disposed in the middle of the agitation water injection pipe 15. In addition, an agitation nozzle 16 is rotatably disposed at an end of the agitation water injection pipe 15. Therefore, while rotating on the end of the agitation water injection pipe 15, the agitation nozzle 16 can inject water throughout the water tank 1 for agitating a chemical poured into the water tank 1 through the inlet 3.
[18] According to another embodiment of the present invention shown in FIG. 5, an additional agitation screw 17 can be used for the same purpose.
[19] Reference numeral 18 denotes a level indicator.
[20] The water tank 1 of the present invention can be used in various fields including drinking water, agricultural water, and livestock industries. Liquid such as water can be introduced into the water tank 1 by opening the valve 13 of the water supply pipe 6 and closing the valve 14 of the reverse washing water inlet pipe 7.
[21] Then, water can be injected into the water tank 1 through the water supply pipe 6.
When the water tank 1 is fully filled with water, the float valve 5 closes the water supply pipe 6 so that water supply to the water tank 1 can be interrupted.
[22] Water filled in the water tank 1 is discharged to the outside after passing through the fine filter net 9 of the filter part 8 so that clean water can be supplied from the water tank 1.
[23] Since impurities and foreign substances included in water are accumulated on the fine filter net 9 of the filter part 8, the fine filter net 9 of the filter part 8 is periodically washed.
[24] The filter part 8 can be washed as follows. After fully discharging water from the water tank 1 and closing the valve 13 of the water supply pipe 6, the valve 14 of the reverse washing water inlet pipe 7 is opened to inject water into the filter part 8. Then, water is injected onto the fine filter net 9 of the filter part 8 through the nozzles 7a located at a lower portion of the filter part 8 so that the fine filter net 9 can be washed. Meanwhile, the valve 12 of the reverse washing water outlet pipe 11 is opened to discharge water used for washing the fine filter net 9 and foreign substances separated from the fine filter net 9.
[25] Meanwhile, water and a chemical such as an agricultural chemical can be mixed in the water tank 1 by agitation as follows. After poring a chemical such as an agricultural chemical into the water tank 1, the pump (P) is driven to draw water from the filter part 8 to the agitation nozzle 16 through the agitation water injection pipe 15. Then, the agitation nozzle 16 rotates, and the water is injected from the agitation nozzle 16 into the water tank 1 so that the water and the chemical can be uniformly mixed. Alternatively, as shown in FIG. 5, the agitation screw 17 can be disposed in the water tank 1 through the inlet 3 to agitate water and a chemical for uniformly mixing the water and the chemical. Industrial Applicability
[26] As described above, according to the present invention, the water tank 1 includes the filter part 8 at a lower center portion to supply purified water so that the water tank 1 can be usefully used in various industrial fields. Furthermore, the fine filter net 9 of the filter part 8 can be periodically washed by injecting water onto the fine filter net 9 through a reverse water passage so that the water tank 1 can be sanitarily used. Thus, the water tank 1 can be used efficiently, safely, and conveniently in various industrial fields. In addition, the water tank 1 can be used to uniformly mix water and a chemical for various industrial applications.
