Abstract

The invention relates to a module (1) for an absorption-type refrigeration machine, comprising at least one evaporator unit (2) for evaporating the coolant and an absorber unit (3) which is located across from the evaporator unit (2) and is used for absorbing the coolant expelled from the working medium in the working medium. The evaporator unit (2) and the absorber unit (3) are each provided with at least one heat transfer area embodied in the shape of a plate (11). Said module (1) is characterized in that the front side of the plate (11) of the evaporator unit (2) and the front side of the plate (11) of the absorber unit (3) face one another, while at least one coolant supply unit (5) extends to an end region of the plate (11) of the evaporator unit (2), the coolant being applied to the surface of the plate (11) by means of said supply unit (5) and then flowing along said surface. Furthermore, at least one supply unit (5) for working medium containing a small amount of coolant extends to an end region of the absorber unit (3), the working medium being applied to the surface of the plate (11) by means of said supply unit (5) and flowing along said surface, and the plates of the evaporator unit (2) and the absorber unit (3) each form opposite areas of a cuboidal or box-shaped housing or container.
