Description

APPARATUS FOR LAYING UNDERGROUND CABLES, TUBES AND LIKE
The present invention relates to an apparatus for laying underground cables, tubes and like.
More specifically, the invention concerns an apparatus of the above kind permitting laying underground cables, tubes and like in a very quick and precise way.
In the following, the specification will be mainly addressed to laying underground of cables, but it is well evident that the apparatus according to the invention can also be used for laying every other element that must be layer underground within a trace, that must be then covered again.
Many situations exist requiring laying underground elements such as cables, tubes, electric wires, ecc. For this kind of work it is necessary digging a seat, laying down the cable, and then closing it again.
Said operation, particularly in case it concerns very long cables or similar objects, and along tortuous path, is very long and expensive as far as labour is concerned. In many cases, this operation is a really relevant part of the whole system where a cable or like must be layer underground.
In view of the above, the Applicant has realised an apparatus permitting laying underground cables, tubes and like in a very quick and easy way, remarkably reducing working time and with the minimum labour required.
These and other results are obtained according to the present invention by an apparatus, that can be operated by a single operator, providing, in combination, means for realising a trace for laying underground the cable, tube and like, and a continuous supply and laying device for the element to be laid underground.
It is therefore specific object of the present invention an apparatus for laying underground cables, tubes and like comprising a handle for grasping by the operator, a propulsion group, wheels for advancing and guiding along the ground, said apparatus being characterised in that it provides at least an oscillating element for realising a trace or channel, means for continuously supplying cable, tube or like to be laid underground, and means for introducing and guiding the cable tube or like within the realised trace or channel, said trace or channel being realised in such a way to close by itself after the cable, tube or like has been placed in position.
Preferably, according to the invention, two oscillating elements are provided for realising a trace or channel. Particularly, according to the invention, said at least one oscillating element is comprised of a wedge-shaped element.
According to the invention, oscillating motion of said at least one oscillating element is obtained by oscillating connection rods.
Furthermore, according to the invention, said cable, tube or like, supply means can be comprised of a bag containing the cable, tube or like, or by a roll bearing said cable, tube or like.
Still according to the invention, said means for introduction and guide of the cable, tube or like within said trace or channel can be comprised of a wheel provided with a cable, tube or like guide groove. The present invention will be now described, for illustrative but not limitative purposes, according to its preferred embodiments, with particular reference to the figures of the enclosed drawings, wherein: figure 1 is a schematic view of the apparatus according to the invention; and figure 2 shows a particular of apparatus of figure 1.
Observing now the figures of the enclosed drawings, it is shown an apparatus according to the invention, generically indicated by reference numbers 20 and 21.
Apparatus provides a handle 1 , on which a bag 2 is mounted, containing the cable 19 to be laid underground.
By reference number 3 it is indicated the movable handle of the engine group.
A knob 4 permits fixing support of cable-supporting rotating wheel 17. A spring 5 permits preloading of wheel 16 support 16.
By reference number 6 it is indicated a container for oscillating connecting rods (not shown) determining movement of oscillating wedges (that will be described in the following).
Two tired wheels 7 permit advancement of apparatus 100 along the ground while laying underground the cable 18. motorisation of apparatus 100 is due to a four-stroke engine with hand start. Mounted on a bearing frame 9. By reference number 11 it is indicated ground within which the cable must be buried.
Apparatus 100 provides a right oscillating wedge 12 and a left oscillating wedge 13, which, by the movement conferred by the above- mentioned oscillating connecting rods, realise the trace within which cable 18 is laid. Oscillation frequency of the two wedges 12, 13 and their shape, permits obtaining a sufficient trace for laying underground cable 18. Movement of wedges 12, 13 is such to cause realisation of a trace closing by itself after laying underground of cable 18. Reference number 14 indicates handle support sleeve, while reference number 15 indicates tube 15 guiding cable 18 toward wheel 17. Said wheel 17 permits guided positioning of the cable within the trace realised by said two wedges 12, 13. Wheel 17 is provided with a structure 16 permitting its adjustment with respect to ground 11 , so as to be able determining cable positioning depth and direction.
Cable 18 placed on the bottom of the trace can be seen behind apparatus 100.
Figure 2 shows particular of motor group including connecting rod container and handle with cable bearing box. By apparatus 100 according to the invention, it is possible laying underground a cable, or like in a very easy, quick, precise way, employing a very limited labour.
The present invention has been described for illustrative but not limitative purposes, according to its preferred embodiments, but it is to be understood that modifications and/or changes can be introduced by those skilled in the art without departing from the relevant scope as defined in the enclosed claims.
