Abstract

The method uses the known forbiddance matrix in which every pair of base stations is allocated one of the defined channel forbiddances. The invention consist in registration in a specific time range of measurement reports sent cyclically to the telephone system by telephone sets during conversations. The reports contain information concerning both the cells serving the individual telephone sets and potentially interfering cells. From the data contained in the collection of the registered measurements reports for every defined forbiddance an interference matrix is created, in which matrices the defined base station pairs are allocated the intensity of potential interference, proportional to the number of occurrences of a given potentially interfering cell in the entire report collection. From the interference matrix a uniform forbiddance matrix is created, and in the case when it does not allow for effective allocation of channels, such a forbiddance table is modified through the removal of lines corresponding to the possibly low intensity of potential interferences.
