Device for uncoupling the rotating shaft (12) of a reversible alternator from the crankshaft of a combustion engine of a motor vehicle, characterized in that it comprises two separate uncoupling means, the first uncoupling means (16) being capable of transmitting a high torque, and the second means (14) being capable of transmitting a high rotational speed.
