Abstract
The present invention relates to a two-sided mirror comprising of a base metal. The shape of the base metal may be of either a flat rectangular a rectangular plate rounded off at its front edge. A separate brass rod is fixed or soldered to the aforesaid mirror as a handle. The metal surface is highly polished and optionally electroplated with at least nickel, chrome, rhodium or titanium or any combination of these. The metal surface after being polished is optionally electro-polished. The metal surface may be coated with anti- scratching and/or anti-fogging agents. The said shape/s continues at any angle, preferably at an angle of (5) to (90) degrees, preferably (30) to (55) degrees and narrows down after some distance, preferably about 4mm. This provides for a plurality of viewing surfaces, which may extend to about (4) viewing surfaces or more, depending on the said angle.
Description
TITLE: TWO-SIDED MIRROR
TECHNICAL FffiLD
The present invention relates to a two-sided mirror. Particularly the invention relates to a two-sided mirror using metal, which is used in dentistry.
BACKGROUND
Mirrors currently known are round in shape and are made of front surface and/or back surface mirrors fused to each other & supported in a metal framework. These mirrors are essentially made of glass in a metal framework.
These mirrors therefore have a narrow viewing area and are susceptible to breakages due to the use of glass.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The present invention obviates the aforesaid drawbacks by providing a two-sided mirror having a wider viewing angle with no risk of breakage of glass.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a two-sided mirror comprising a mirror-head portion having a substantially planar first face and a substantially planar second face facing opposite to said first face wherein at least one of said first face or said second face is of a polished metal.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION
The present invention will now be described with reference to the figures accompanying the specification and wherein:
Figure 1 a) to 1 g) shows the various types of two-sided mirrors.
The said shape/s continues at any angle, preferably at an angle of 5 to 90 degrees, preferably 30 to 55 degrees and narrows down after some distance, preferably about 4mm. This provides for a plurality of viewing surfaces, which may extend to about 4 viewing surfaces or more, depending on the said angle.
The present invention, viz. the two-sided mirror is inserted in the mouth to view the teeth. The said shape/s provides a wider viewing. The plating of rhodium at both the sides enables a reflective surface, without involving the risk of breakage of the glass.
