Abstract

La structure légère de l'invention comporte au moins un élément de support (11) pour constituer un assemblage porteur pour un élément de protection souple tel qu'une toile de tente. Cet élément de support (11) est constitué d'un ensemble de pièces individuelles (20) sensiblement cylindriques, reliées entre elles par un lien souple (30) qui peut avoir un premier état détendu pour le pliage de l'élément de support (11) et un deuxième état tendu pour la rigidification de cet élément de support. Ces deux états peuvent être obtenus par l'intermédiaire d'un organe de mise sous tension (50) du lien souple (30) qui comporte au moins un tambour d'enroulement (52) de ce lien souple (30) entraîné en rotation par une manivelle (58). Le tambour d'enroulement (52) comprend une couronne dentée (56) en prise avec un pignon (57) du dispositif d'entraînement formé par la manivelle (58).
