Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant de former au moins un nanotube de carbone (16) au moyen de nanoparticules de catalyseur sans métal (14), par exemple des nanoparticules comprenant Si ou Ge. Ce procédé consiste à décomposer un gaz source carbonique de façon à former des fragments de carbone qui sont ensuite recombinés au niveau des nanoparticules de catalyseur sans métal (14) afin de faire croître les nanotubes de carbone (16). Le procédé selon certains modes de réalisation de l'invention donne des nanotubes de carbone (16) qui ne comprennent pas d'impuretés métalliques.
