Description
WASHING DEVICE
DESCRI PTION
This invention relates to a device for washing the chambers of the interiors of various apparatuses usable both in the industrial and domestic field such as the internal chambers of ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers and similar apparatuses.
Said device is particularly usable also for possible deployment in washing pots and pans and in general the consequent application thereof in dishwashers of industrial or domestic type.
Applications of devices for washing the internal surfaces of the internal chambers of plants and machines of both industrial and domestic type and of the possible objects contained therein are well known . These devices essentially consist of an impeller made of a limited number of arms that deliver the washing liquid at low pressure and rotate at low speed in order just to "rest" said washing liquid (water/detergent) against the walls of the chamber and/or of the objects to be cleaned. These types of washing devices normally have very low rotation speeds, about 60 revolutions per minute initially, so that they require a significant quantity of washing fluid and significant operating time. As known with the aforesaid washing devices, not very satisfactory results are obtained with the above,
especially from the point of view of cleanliness, moreover, they require very significant consumption of water and detergents and also of energy. No more time will be spent disclosing the various and further drawbacks and defects that may be found in the traditional solutions used until now and which are thus known to all.
The object of the present invention is therefore to remedy the aforesaid known drawbacks and defects and this is obtained with the washing device that is the object of the present invention .
In order to understand better all the features and advantages of this invention , and all the advantages of use, a preferred embodiment thereof provided only by way of non-limiting example is disclosed below with reference to the attached drawings in which:
- figure 1 shows in an exploded perspective view the various elements constituting the device in question; - figure 2 is a side view of the device;
- figure 3 is a front view taken from the delivery side of the washing liquid, again of the same device;
- figure 4 is a section view taken along line l-l in figure 3.
It is pointed out that in the aforesaid figures all the common details will be given the same references. With particular reference to figure 1 , it will be noted that the washing device 1 in question consists basically of only three elements, namely:
- una bush 11 ;
- un cylindrical body 12;
- a delivery loop 1 3.
Still with reference to figure 1 and to the subsequent figures 2, 3 and 4 it will be noted that the bush 11 consists of a first external threaded portion 111 , which is followed by a short cylindrical portion forming a corresponding annular elevation 112 (of a diameter greater than the diameter of the thread), which will continue with a further cylindrical portion 113 that will be provided with holes 114 that from the internal cylindrical cavity 115 of said bush 11 project into an annular recess 116 obtained centrally to said cylindrical portion 113. Said internal cylindrical cavity 11 5, inside the bush 11 , will penetrate to a little beyond said holes 114 and will terminate, still internally, with a significant threaded portion 117.
Still with reference to the above figures, the cylindrical body 12 will be provided centrally with a coaxial cylindrical hole 121 from which there depart radial
channels 122 that are equidistant from one another that lead onto the external cylindrical surface 123 with suitable flares 12a. On an end of said cylindrical surface 123 there is obtained a substantially rectangular slight groove 124 the function of which will be explained below. Still with reference to the aforesaid figures 1 , 2, 3 and 4 the particular shape of the entire delivery loop 13 will be noted . Said delivery loop 1 3 will be of circular shape extending with a corresponding substantially rectangular section having a corresponding significant thickness and the internal cylindrical cavity 1 31 thereof will correspond by diameter and shape, except for a slight difference due to the necessary mechanical tolerances, to the shape and external diameter of the cylindrical body 12. On an end of said cylindrical cavity 1 31 , corresponding to that in which in the aforementioned external cylindrical surface 123 of said cylindrical body 12 there is obtained said slight groove 124, there is obtained a slight annular elevation 1 32 with a shape and dimensions that are complementary to the latter (124), the function of which will also be explained below.
As can be noted from figure 3 and more clearly and in greater detail from figure 1 , in said delivery loop 13 suitable tangential recesses 133 will be obtained that concordantly face the same direction that are further
equidistant from one another and penetrate inside the "front" side 140 thereof (1 3), i.e. the side from which the corresponding jets are delivered. Obviously, the number of such recesses 133 will be the same as that of said radial channels 122 and will be obtained by means of transverse incisions producing corresponding cavities having rectangular cross sections the widths of which are approximately the equivalent to those of the corresponding delivery loop 13 and the external sides 134 of which lead away almost tangentially to the internal surface 1 31 of the corresponding delivery loop, whilst the bottom 1 35 ones, i.e. those on the bottom of the corresponding recesses 133 , lead away variously tilted towards the exterior in such a way that the internal part thereof is distant from the front part 1 30, by a quantity that is suitable for covering at least the flares 12a in which the corresponding radial channels 122 terminate, whilst at the external end thereof, still on the same front side 1 30, they are at distances that are significantly less than the preceding one and which appropriately vary between them.
The description of the elements constituting the device 1 having terminated , the shape thereof will now be disclosed when all the constituents thereof: bush 11 , cylindrical body 12 and delivery loop 13 will be joined
together.
With reference in particular to figures 2, 3 and 4 it will be noted that the cylindrical body 12 will be inserted into the corresponding delivery loop 13, in such a way that 5 the slight annular recess 124 thereof "abuts" on the slight annular elevation 132 of the corresponding delivery loop 13. Everything will thus form a single composite element 12-13, thus after the coupling (12-13) thereof has been achieved the radial channels 122 of the io cylindrical body 12 will be made to correspond in an appropriate manner with the recesses 133 of the delivery loop 13 and lastly mutual removable fixing thereof (12- 13) will be obtained by inserting the "grubscrew" 16 into the threaded hole 1 38 of the corresponding delivery loop
15 1 3. Tightening said grubscrew 16 makes the grubscrew (16) "abut" on the external cylindrical surface 123 of said cylindrical body 12, thus producing the desired mutual fixing between said parts, the cylindrical body 12 and the delivery loop 13. 0 Having obtained the union of the cylindrical body 12 with the delivery loop 13 the bush 11 is inserted inside the central hole 121 of the cylindrical body 12 , so on the free end of said bush 11 a washer 14 in suitable antifriction material is placed , which washer (14) will be fixed on 5 said bush 11 with a corresponding screw 15 engaging in
the respective threaded portion 117 thereof (11 ) . It is well understood that the portion between the surfaces opposite the latter of the "annular cylinder" 112 and of said "washer" 14, in practice that defined by the cylindrical portion 113 of said bush 11 will have a length slightly greater than the length of the corresponding central hole 121 of said cylindrical body 12 and this in order to enable the latter (12) to be able to rotate freely on the corresponding bush 11 . As is clearly noticeable from figure 3, the delivery loop 1 3 can be suitably rotated with respect to the corresponding cylindrical body by at least a significant angle OC for the reasons explained below.
The operation of the device 1 is thus simple and is disclosed below.
The water drawn from the mains supply is then brought by means of a compressor up to the pressure of at least approximately 2 atmospheres, then passes through a suitable mixer for possible mixing with the detergent in suitable proportions and is then delivered to the bush 11 in which by passing through the internal cavity 115 thereof and passing through the holes 114 it fills the recess 116 and will then flow along the radial channels 122 of the cylindrical body 12 until it enters the said grooves 133 of the delivery loop 13 from it lastly exits
with corresponding jets that being suitably deviated by the grooves (133) cause the resulting composite element 12-1 3 to rotate and therefore cause the jets. The operation of the washing device having been disclosed, it should be noted (see figure 3) that the cylindrical body 12 can be positioned inside the delivery loop 13 by rotating it (12) inside it (13) by a suitable angle OC in order to be able to vary the deviation , the flowrate, the speed and thus also the intensity of the flow of the jets of washing liquid, such variations also causing the corresponding variation of the rotation speed of the washing device. The adjustment according to the specific needs of the case having been obtained, said cylindrical body 12 and the delivery loop 1 3 are locked. This locking will be obtained, as already said , through tightening of the grubscrew 16 inserted into the threaded hole 138 of the delivery loop 13, which duly clamped therein (13) will abut against the external cylindrical surface 123 of the corresponding cylindrical body 12, thus causing the fixing thereupon of said delivery loop 13.
It should be noted that the washing device in question and which is disclosed above in detail is able to achieve a rotation speed of approximately 1 0 revolutions a second (600 revolutions per minute), which are much
greater than those of conventional impellers with consequent improvements in the diffusion of the washing liquid acting on the surfaces of the internal surfaces of the corresponding apparatuses and of the various elements that may be arranged therein . Further, the washing liquid , being diffused with greater energy than normal solutions, will be able to improve the washing of all the surfaces on which it acts. Further, as established, for the operation of the device in question a quantity of water and detergent is required that is much reduced with respect to what is normally required in the traditional known systems and therefore enables a consistent reduction of overall running costs to be obtained together with the reduction of operating time.
Thus the significant reduction in the consumption of detergent that is achievable with said device consequently enables a corresponding considerable reduction of environmental pollution to be achieved. In conclusion , the device in question can be applied fixed or removable within chambers of various household appliances or of machines or plants for industrial use such as dishwashers, refrigerators, ovens, etc, which are normally usable in the so-called "large systems", in practice in the "catering kitchens" of institutions,
company canteens, hotels, etc
It is clear that these and other variations can be made to the present invention without thereby falling outside the scope of what has been disclosed and is claimed below with reference to the attached drawings and without therefore falling outside the legal protection of this invention.
