Abstract

The invention provides methods of freeze-drying platelets to preserve growth factors, and methods a of using the platelets, e.g., to treat wounds. The invention also provides compositions comprising such platelets, including gels, creams, bandage packs and the like for wound healing, and methods of treating a subject using freeze-dried platelet preparations of the invention.
