Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for producing a cooler made of aluminium sections and optionally of lamellar material. The assembled cooler or the sections that form the cooler are formed with a solder layer at least on the parts being joined before or after they are assembled, then soldering is carried out as much as possible in the absence of air. After soldering and cooling of the soldered cooler, water with a calcium ion content of at least 20 mg/l is passed through the cooler and/or said type of water is applied to the outer surface of the cooler, thus passivating the aluminium surface of the cooler, or the inner and/or outer surfaces of the cooler are rinsed with moist air, or moist air is applied thereto.
