Abstract
This particular Invention Patent refers to a Pedestal Tape that is characterized for being made-up by a continuous belt that is evenly wide, thick and long, and which has been designed to serve as a dividing tape to guide the flow (queue) of people, and the digital stamping image whereof is made-up by or constituted of a Multi-filament Fabric Layer, which is made of 100% Polyester, one Structuring Layer or Screen which is also made of 100% Polyester, and of a Black Masterized Charge which is made of 100% Polyurethane. The multi-filament fabric layer corresponds to 30% of the final fabric, the structuring screen whereof corresponds to 10% of the final fabric, and the masterized charge corresponds to 60% of the final fabric, forming a malleable substratum bearing a smooth surface with a mechanical memory, and the digital stamping technique whereof corresponds to a conventional and simultaneous sublimation technique in order to provide an effect called Black-Out, that is, it does not allow any type of light to filter in.
Description
"SINGLE QUEUE PEDESTAL TAPE , INCLUDING
ITS MANUFACTURING AND PRINTING PROCESS5 ALSO EMPLOYED FOR OTHER PURPOSES"
L- INTRODUCTION
This Invention Patent description report has to do with the Single Queue Pedestal Tape, Including its Manufacturing and Printing Process, Also Employed for other Purposes ("Pedestal Tape"), and is characterized by the fact that it is also made up of a belt of consistent width, thickness and length, dimensioned according to its usage needs, having been manufactured using a multi-layer lamination process, which employs very high quality materials, such as polyesters, polyurethanes, or combinations of both, as well as other appropriate materials.
The main characteristics of this Pedestal Tape lie in the fact that it is an element that is formed by a malleable subtract, with a smooth surface possessing a mechanical memory, the digital printing technique whereof corresponds to the conventional and simultaneous sublimation technique especially made to provide a Black-out effect, that is, it is not transparent to any type of light.
2.- APPLICATION RANGE
The application range for this Pedestal Tape has to do with the multimedia and marketing markets, although it may also be used for personal security in internal ambiences as well as for sports.
Besides being used in metallic pedestals and in other materials employed for the shaping up and ordering of queues of people at banks, supermarkets and other venues, among the aforementioned activities we may also enhance the fact that, on the strength of its technical characteristics, the Pedestal Tape is also conducive for use in safety belts in automobiles, airplanes and other vehicles, backpack laces, backs, etc.
3.- PURPOSES
The purposes of this Pedestal Tape are to offer a tape
possessing anti-transparent characteristics that impede the penetration of any type of light, so as to allow the printing of signs and/or advertising figures, which, on the strength of their anti-transparent characteristics, allow a perfect visualization of these signs or figures, irrespectively of the venue where the Tape may be used, and irrespectively of its exposure to light.
4.- STATE OF THE ART
As it is widely known among companies and technicians engaged in this activity, among the products most technologically advanced today two types of tapes may be used in single queue pedestals.
The first tape type corresponds to an element manufactured in a loom, which makes use of materials such as polyester. These tapes are made in countless hues corresponding to a continuous element the width and thickness whereof have been standardized to fit the uses that have been envisaged. They are presented in single colors, such as black, blue, red, etc.
A second, more technologically advanced type or model, has to do with the same tape as the one described previously, albeit personalized with the logotypes, names and brands of the most diverse companies, which also allow the stamping of figures, landscapes, etc., applied through serigraphy or by some other appropriate means. It should also be stressed that this model has a Patent Application pending.
Regardless of the models in existence, these tapes perfectly satisfy the needs for which they were developed, although when there is need to stamp advertising or publicity slogans on the tapes, a serious problem arises, having to do with the transparency of the tape, that is, figures or words that have been stamped on the other side, and which, with the projection of light on them show up on the other side, causing visual over impositions which intermingle with the words that have been already printed.
5,- TECHNICAL DIFFERENTIAL
In an attempt to resolve the problems that have arisen from the problem of transparency, the technical differential presented by the
Pedestal Tape has to do with the anti-transparent characters, or the shield against light, so as to allow the stamping of advertising words and/or figures, which, on the strength of their characteristics allow a perfect visualization of these words or figures.
The anti-transparency characteristic is a function of the configuration of the substratum and of the lamination process, which allows the manufacture of a malleable substratum containing a smooth surface and a mechanical memory which is stable in behavior, and which presents an opaque, brilliant, pearl and/or metal-like surface which, irrespectively of the finishing of the base, will always cause the product to retain its anti-transparent characteristics.
It should be stressed that the finishing of the edges is accomplished by laser cuts so as to show the product in the shape of tapes that have standardized measurements, such as, for instance, 50mm by 2.500 mm in length, that is, ready for use, and the tape may be manufactured with other measurements as well according to the needs of the market.
6.- COMPOSITION DESCRIPTION
In order to fully and completely visualize the manner in which the Pedestal Tape has been made-up, a Composition Chart has been included where Figure 1 : Shows the Composition of the Fabric used in the manufacture of the Pedestal Tape.
7.- INVENTION DESCRIPTION
As it may be inferred from the design that accompanies and which is an integral part of this report, the Pedestal Tape is characterized for being made-up of a continuous even width belt, thickness and length, dimensioned according to usage needs, normally employed to serve as a dividing tape to order the flow or queue of people at bank tellers, supermarkets, movie theaters, etc.
The Tape is manufactured in multiple layers through a lamination process, using materials of prime quality such as polyesters,
polyurethanes or combinations of both, or other appropriate materials. The cutting is accomplished by ultra-sound, laser and/or pyrography, and one should stress that any of these types of finishing imbue a regularity to the process from start to finish.
Its major characteristics derive from the fact that the tape is made-up of a malleable product which has a smooth surface with a mechanical memory, the digital stamping technique whereof corresponding to the conventional and simultaneous sublimation technique which causes an effect caused Black-out, that is, it prevents any light from filtering in.
Another of its characteristics or novelties is the manner of its structuring which employs a high resistance screen which aggregates a stable mechanical condition to the substratum.
It should be stressed that the digital image stamping area is made up or constituted by:
30% - Multi-filament fabric, 100% Polyester.
10% - Structuring Layer or Screen, 100% Polyester and
60% - Masterized Black Layer, 100% Polyethylene.
8.- CONCLUSION
According to everything that has been said and illustrated previously, one may conclude that the Pedestal Tape fits in perfectly within the norms that govern the Invention Patent, and it is perfectly capable of filling in a hiatus existing in the market deserving the respective patent as result of everything that has been expounded.
