Description

FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a system of power generation and, in particular, to a hydraulic power driven machine and generator directed to meet the present day needs of alternative energy sources to drive variety of power consuming units/apparatus. Importantly, the hydraulic power driven machine and generator of the invention utilizes simple and readily available gadgets / operative units and would favour providing for an electrical power generator which would be simple and cost effective and would avoid the limitations of present day scarcity of electricity generated from conventional power generators and its accompanying complexities such as hydro-electric plants, thermal plants, atomic power, solar generators, wind turbine generators and the like. Importantly, the power generator of the invention apart from being simple and cost effective is also safe and most advantageously environment friendly.
BACKGROUND ART
There is a growing need and demand for electrical power for operating and supplying electrical energy all over the world and with the advancement of industry such need for electrical power is ever increasing and highly in demand.
It is well known to generate electrical power involving variety of power generating sources such as the thermal power plant based electricity generators which necessarily require the scarcely available and cost extensive coal as input material to heat water to generate / produce the required electrical input.
It is also known to generate power in hydro- electric plants wherein water is made to fall from a height to drive the turbine which in turn generate the electricity. However, such hydroelectric plant involves huge investment and infrastructural complications, which necessarily affect its ready and wide scale application and use.
The other well known power generation involving atomic energy involves the use of radio active materials to generate electricity and such form of power generator are necessarily associated with strict safety regulation and limited application / use in order to ensure safety of human and environment.
One of the most common form of electrical / power generation which is applicable for large scale as well as small power generating purposes is the use of diesel / petrol generators to generate the electrical power. In such diesel / petrol generators the fuel diesel / petrol is used to operate the engine and generate the electricity. World over there is now an^ acute scarcity of such petroleum sources to continue to drive such engine and accordingly, due to the ever increasing scarcity of such fuel there is a growing concern and limitation in the use of such petroleum product based electrical power generators.
As an alternative to such cost extensive, complex and scarce power generating resources, attempt has been made in the past to generate power using natural resources such as utilization of solar energy to generate electricity through use of photovoltaic cells. However, considering that such solar generators are totally dependent on the sun as a solar source, climatic conditions are found to affect / limit the application and use of such form of power generation.
Likewise, the problems of limitation of solar energy, windmill generators are also dependent on natural wind speed and, therefore, has its own limitation as far as a complete and regular form of the electrical power generation is concerned. Thus, while there are several variety of power generators presently known and made available to the art, each of such forms of power generators have their own limitations which can not meet the growing needs to produce more electricity to meet the ever increasing demand of electrical power throughout the world. Importantly, also there has been a need to provide for power generation which would be emission free and most of the traditional varieties of power generation especially the widely used petroleum source based power generators which are environment hazards can not meet such environment standards and are found to be not acceptable for the future. In fact, due to such environmental concerns various forms of power generators, which are environmentally hazardous and polluting in nature are not favoured and face threats of shutting down such as nuclear power plants, which are a serious threat to the very survival of mankind. The above, therefore, clearly reveal the continuing and growing need for an effective alternate form of power generation which would be simple and cost effective and also avoid the limitations and drawbacks of the conventional power generators as discussed above.

A further object of the present invention is directed to an electrical power generator, which would not be dependent on resources of scarcely available and cost extensive fuel such as petroleum resources, which are getting exhausted very fast.
A further object of the present invention is directed to a hydraulic power driven machine and generator, which would be very simple and cost effective to assemble and maintain and thereby favour wide scale application and use for variety of power requiring gadgets / units and would be user friendly and reliable for continuous generation of electrical power.

As clearly illustrated in the figure, the power generator (10) basically involves the fan unit (12), which is operatively connected to a gear mechanism (14) via the balancing wheel arrangements (16A & 16B ). The gear mechanism (14) output is connected to the alternator (18) for tapping of the generated power. An electronics unit (20) is provided to monitor and cooperate the motion of the fan unit and the related supply of water jets on operations of the motor to continue to run the fan and generate the power.
Importantly, in order to initiate the operation for power generation initially the fan unit (12) is activated by manually rotating the same and for such purpose the fan is operatively connected to a handle means (22) whereby by rotary motion of the handle, the fan is provided with a rotary motion. Advantageously, the simple manual rotation of the fan blades of the fan/turbine unit (12) are multiplied several times by way of the wheel (16A & 16B) and gear mechanism (14) such that the gear output is a rotary motion of much higher rpm.
Once the gear output achieves such high rpm its operative connection to the alternator (18) generates the required power which (i) on one hand initiates the motor/pump (24) and the electronic unit (20) which in turn pumps in the water jets through operative pipelines in selective sequence to selectively impinge on the respective blades of the fan unit to continue its rotary motion after the initial manual efforts and (ii) supply electrical power to operate any other power consuming device/gadget. Once the fan unit is continued to run as above involving the sequential application of the water jet on the blades, the alternator continues to generate the power as above at the operative gear output. To facilitate the above distribution of the generated power from the alternator to (i) on one hand initiate the motor (24) and the electronic unit (20) which in turn pumps in the water jets through operative pipelines in selective sequence to selectively impinge on the respective blades of the fan unit to continue its rotary motion after the initial manual efforts and (ii) supply electrical power to operate any other power consuming device/gadget, the power from the alternator is fed into a control panel (26) board which distributes the alternator power in the manner discussed above to continue to run the generator of the invention.
Thus in the above power generator of the invention, hydraulic force is utilized to assist the fan/turbine to rotate. This force is developed in a systematic way. First of all the system is adapted to feed the water to the pressure tank by means of the water pump/motor (24). This pressurized water is pushed the electronic pump devices which is connected to the turbine casing fitted with injectors. The total pressure is reflected on a pressure gauge (28). The injectors are adapted to inject the high pressure water on the turbine to thereby rotate at a high rotational motion. After causing such rotational motion of the fan, the water thus fed is directed to a static tank and recycled for subsequent and continued rotary motion of the fan/turbine.
As also illustrated, in said figure 1 the electronic unit (20) is adapted to control the sequential supply of the water jets through the respective pipelines and its duration of supply so as to achieve the continuing rotary motion of the fan unit and its continuous gear output to feed the alternator for electricity generation.
Reference is now invited to accompanying figure 2 which illustrates in another view the power generator of the invention with the components correspondingly marked as in Figure 1. The figure illustrates in greater detail the operative connection of the water pipelines supplying the water jets onto the fan blades with the water source / tanks (28). As clearly shown in the figure in accordance with this embodiment such water tanks (28) are provided having operative communicating pipeline (30), which connect the tank (28) to the motor (24) and further provide for the supply of the water jet inside the fan unit (12).
Reference is now invited to the figure 3, which illustrates more clearly the provision of the Control Panel (26) and Electronic unit (20) with operative switches adapted to control the sequence operation of the supply of water in the water jets targeted at the respective blades to rotate the fan unit (12). The figure also clearly illustrates the gear mechanism (14) and the fan unit (12). The other operative components correspond to those as are marked in Figure 1.
Reference is further invited to accompanying figure 4, which illustrates in further details the operative connection of the pipelines (30) supplying the water jets from the water tanks (28) through gauges (28) to monitor the pressure of the water jets in keeping with a desired rotary motion of the fan unit for required generation of the electrical power. Likewise in case of Figures 2 and 3 , the other operative components shown in the Figure 4 are marked as corresponding to the various marked components in figure 1.
The operation of the power generator of the invention is explained hereunder in relation to the above figures:
To start up the power generator an initial rotary motion of the fan/turbine blades is attended such as preferably by simple manual rotary motion using the handle means (22), which serves to activate the gear mechanism (14) via the cooperative wheel arrangements (16A & 16B) to operate the said alternator (18) and generate power. The power generated at the said alternator (18) is utilized for (a) the motor (24) to be activated to selectively impinge under pressure water/similar fluid on the respective fan blades to continue its rotary motion to generate power at the alternator as well as operate the electronic unit (20) for the sequential supply of water/fluid on the fan blades and (b) supply as a electrical source to operate /activate any power consuming device/system.
In particular, the alternator (18) when fed with the mechanical energy produces the electrical energy which is fed to a panel board (26) wherein the electrical energy is distributed partly for the purposes of operating the pump/motor (24) as well as the electronic unit (20) and the remaining for the power input to run any other electrical power consuming device/ gadget.
Importantly, the said motor means (24) upon being activated through the control panel (26) cooperates with the water tank (28) and operative pipeline (30) to selectively and sequentially impinge water in force on the respective fan blades of said fan unit with the water supply pipelines (30) selectively disposed around the fan unit (12) to favour sequential delivery pf the water selectively on the respective blades to achieve the required rotary motion to continue the power generation.
If would be thus apparent from the above that the hydraulic power driven machine and generator of the invention is simple and cost effective to obtain and is also user friendly for generation of electrical power of varying capacity depending upon the energy required. The hydraulic power driven machine and generator is thus adapted to meet the growing needs of alternate sources of generation of electrical energy and make the world a healthier, entertaining and environmentally a safer place to five in without fearing concerns of deficit of power sources and / or hazards of the conventional electricity generation through petroleum / nuclear resources, which are scarce and cost extensive apart from being environmentally damaging.
It is thus possible by way of the present invention to provide for a simple form of an alternate source of energy, in particular, electrical energy which could be implemented anywhere in the world and meet the challenging needs of power generation and its accompanying environmental and safety concerns in a simple and cost-effective manner. The generator of the invention would be completely emission free and environmentally safe meeting present day requirements of international standards. Advantageously, the generator of the invention would enable utilization of the simple and readily available resource and gadgets in meeting the present day growing demands of electrical energy across the world.
