Abstract

A lightweight container includes an enclosed base (12), an upper portion that extends upwardly to a finish; and a body (18) located between the base and the upper portion. The sidewall includes vacuum compensation elements (54a, 54b)that have an open end and an opposing closed end, and that form a V-shape. Each element has nested fields.
