Abstract

La régulation physiologique de la séparation de l'ingestion, de la croissance et de l'énergie chez les animaux s'effectue sous le contrôle de gènes multiples qui peuvent être des candidats importants permettant de mesurer la variation génétique dans des caractéristiques économiquement pertinentes dans la production de boeuf. L'invention concerne également l'identification de polymorphismes nucléotidiques uniques (SNP) dans les gènes de bovins codant pour des protéines de liaison d'acides gras et leurs associations avec des caractéristiques économiquement pertinentes dans la production de boeuf. L'invention concerne également des procédés et des systèmes, notamment des procèdes à base de réseau, permettant de gérer les données SNP et d'autres données concernant des animaux spécifiques et des troupeaux d'animaux, des soins vétérinaires, des diagnostics, des données de contrôle de qualité et la gestion d'un cheptel qui, en fonction d'un génotypage, présente des caractéristiques de qualité de viande prévisibles, des conditions d'élevage, le bien-être des animaux, des informations de sécurité alimentaire, des contrôles des procédés existants et des données relatives à l'emplacement des champs.
