Abstract
Two parallel planar metallic strips having the same (or almost the same) width are connected by another short metallic strip perpendicular to both of them. The antenna is fed by a coaxial cable where the ground of the cable is connected to one of the parallel metallic strips while the central connector of the coaxial cable is connected to the other metallic strip. The lengths of the parallel metallic strips are adjusted such that the antenna is tuned at the required frequency. Both parallel metallic strips radiate and receive electromagnetic waves and hence the frequency bandwidth of the new antenna is very wide.
