Abstract

A formulation for an abrasion-resistant, thermoset polyurethane elastomer comprising A) a polyurethane prepolymer, B) a curative and C) a concentration between 0.1 and 20%, based on the weight of prepolymer and curative, of a non-reactive friction reducing agent consisting of molybdenum disulfide MoS2 is described. Said elastomer is prepared by admixing A) B) and C) and curing the admixture to obtain the elastomer. The articles obtained from the said elastomer as well as the uses of same are also described.
