Abstract

L'invention concerne un système et un procédé servant à évaluer l'état immunologique d'un ou de plusieurs individus au sein d'une population de patients. Ce procédé consiste à établir une base de données comprenant plusieurs enregistrements d'informations qui représentent respectivement l'état immunitaire d'un individu de la population. Chacun des enregistrements englobe (1) des informations actuelles provenant d'au moins un dosage destiné à rechercher la présence d'un agent biochimique, et (2) des informations spécifiques d'individus comprenant un ou plusieurs éléments parmi l'anamnèse d'un individu, des observations de médecins concernant cet individu, ainsi que des informations historiques, démographiques, familiales et de style de vie associées à l'individu. Le procédé consiste ensuite à traiter les informations dans ladite base de données afin de trouver des tendances ou des modèles concernant l'état immunitaire des individus au sein de ladite population, et à utiliser ces tendances ou modèles comme une partie d'un processus décisionnel lié aux soins de santé. Dans des modes de réalisation de cette invention cités à titre d'exemple, le traitement des informations de la base de données comprend la génération d'une liste de corrélations entre des variables ou des champs de la base de données et, pour chaque corrélation dans la liste, la génération d'un ensemble d'hypothèses qui peuvent expliquer cette corrélation. Dans des modes de réalisation donnés à titre d'exemple, en fonction de chaque hypothèse de l'ensemble, le processus consiste automatiquement à rejeter, soutenir ou affirmer l'insuffisance de données pour analyser cette hypothèse par traitement supplémentaire de la base de données et par compte rendu à un utilisateur des corrélations, de leurs hypothèses associées et du rejet, du soutien ou de la détermination de l'insuffisance de données pour mener une action de rejet ou de soutien.
