Abstract

A mechanical seat recline lock mechanism (100) that employs a lead screw (10) device to backdrive a nut (20) and disk (30). The disk is held in place by a spring-loaded friction pin (90) when motion needs to be constrained. The rotating disk can be oiled or greased to provide damping action.
