Abstract
Communication networks and computer architectures using three dimensional polyvertexic philosophies make it possible to process, transmit and store data in an efficient, rapid and scalable manner. SHAPE network based system architectures (100) embody a plurality of non-hypercube three dimensional elements consisting of four or more multifunctional nodes (polynodes) (101a) which are distributed around the surfaces of a plurality of concentric geodesic or spherical mesh surfaces (SHAPE Networks). Nodes (102) and Polynodes (101a) interact with each other on the surface of a spherical mesh, and interact with other nodes or polynodes on adjacent concentric spherical mesh surfaces by virtue of the three-dimensional shape derived from the skeleta of various polyhedra (polyvertexia). In addition to the links required for the intersection vertices on a specific surface, each polynode (101a) has at least one additional vertex extending the polynode (101a) into a third or higher dimension permitting the interconnection of concentric geodesic spherical meshes.
