Description

Description
A DEVICE FOR EXERCISING GOLF PUTTING
Background Art
[1] The present invention relates, in general, to a device for practicing golf putting and, more particularly, to a golf putting practicing device for correcting a putting posture. Generally, putting is an action in which a golf ball is hit towards a hole on a putting green. Unlike a drive or approach shot, which is performed using a big swinging action, the putting requires precise control of direction and force. For such a putting action, a putter is used. In order to perform correct putting, before a golfer putts, it must be checked whether a ball is aligned with the center of a head of the putter and a putting line is a straight line. Further, in order to acquire a correct sense of putting, deflection of a putting direction must be taken into consideration. A putting practicing device, disclosed in Korean U.M. Registration No. 337810, is characterized in that a putting measuring bar 200 is detachably coupled to a club face 14 along with a mounting part 100 in such a way as to be perpendicular to the club face. The putting measuring bar 200 is provided to be displaced in the longitudinal direction of the club face 14. However, the position of the putting measuring bar cannot be adjusted in a putting direction. Further, since a grip is bent relative to the neck 16 of a putter 10, the installation position of the putting practicing device is limited to the neck 16. The putting measuring bar 200 is constructed so that a golfer acquires the sense of a putting distance while watching the interval between the ball and the club face 14 using the scale of the putting measuring bar. However, since the putting practicing device is long, it is inconvenient to carry. Meanwhile, when the ball is adjacent to the head 12 of the putter, the ball may be hidden by the putting measuring bar 200. In this case, the center of the body cannot be precisely aligned with the center of the ball. Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem

Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
[24] Hereinafter, a device for practicing golf putting according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, the golf putting practicing device according to the preferred embodiment of this invention includes a direction indicating part 10, which extends in a putting direction. A horizontal moving unit moves the direction indicating part 10 relative to a putter P in a direction crossing the putting direction. A putting direction moving unit moves the direction indicating part 10 relative to the putter P in the putting direction. A rotating member 41 is rotatably coupled to the putting direction moving unit. A tightening piece 42 tightens the rotating member 41. Further, a mounting bracket 50 is detachably mounted to the putter P at a predetermined position. The direction indicating part 10 includes a main member 11, and extension members 12 which are foldably extend from ends of the main member 11. The main member 11 has a straight- lined shape, and indicates the putting direction. A cross-shaped sight 13 is provided at the center in the main member, thus indicating the center of a ball. The extension members 12 are coupled to both ends of the main member 11 using hinges 12a in such a way as to rotate in one direction, and are folded relative to the main member 11. As shown in FIG. 4, the main member 11 and the extension members 12 can be folded and unfolded to form a straight line. Each extension member 12 may be formed to have the same length as the main member 11. However, in order to avoid interference with the opposing extension members 12, the length of each extension member 12 is half of the length of the main member 11. Thus, when the opposing extension members 12 are folded relative to the main member 11, the total length of the two extension members 12 corresponds to the maximum length of the main member 11. Thus, the direction indicating part 10 can be folded to the length of the main member 11, thus being easy to carry. A pointer holding cavity 1 Ia is formed in a predetermined portion of the main member 11, and holds a laser pointer R therein. The laser pointer R is removably held in the pointer holding cavity 11a, and radiates a laser beam in the putting direction. Beam holes H are formed in the main member 11 and the extension members 12 so that the laser beam of the laser pointer R passes through the beam holes. Thus, while the laser pointer R is seated in the pointer holding cavity 11a, the laser pointer radiates the laser beam through the direction indicating part 10 to a target place. The laser pointer R radiates the laser beam along the longitudinal direction of the direction indicating part 10, thus aiming at the target place, that is, a flag around the hole of a putting green. A scale is formed on the side of the main member 11 in the longitudinal direction thereof, thus measuring the moving distance or position of the putting direction moving unit. A slide groove 1 Ib is formed on the side of the main member 11 in the longitudinal direction thereof, so that the putting direction moving unit slides along the slide groove. The putting direction moving unit includes a slider 21, an auxiliary tightening member 22, and a tightener 23. The slider is provided on the side of the main member 11 of the direction indicating part 10 in such a way as to slide in the putting direction. The auxiliary tightening member is slidably fitted over the slider 21. The tightener is screwed to the slider 21, with the auxiliary tightening member 22 provided between the tightener and the slider. A slide member 21a is provided on one end of the slider 21, and is inserted into the slide groove 1 Ib of the main member 11. The slider 21 is slid in the longitudinal direction of the main member 11 by the slide member 21a. A bolt part 21b is provided on the other end of the slider 21 to be fastened to the tightener 23. The slider 21 is provided to cross the main member 11, thus serving to guide the horizontal moving unit. A slider insert hole 22a is formed in the longitudinal direction of the auxiliary tightening member 22. The auxiliary tightening member is slidably fitted over the slider 21. The tightener 23 is fastened to the bolt part 21b, with the auxiliary tightening member 22 fitted over the slider 21. While the tightener is fastened to the bolt part, the auxiliary tightening member 22 is pushed towards the slide member 21a. That is, as shown in FIG. 3, when the tightener 23 is tightened to the bolt part 21b of the slider 21, the auxiliary tightening member 22 moves towards the direction indicating part 10, so that the end of the auxiliary tightening member 22 comes into contact with the main member 11. When the tightener 23 is continuously tightened, the auxiliary tightening member 22 and the slide member 21a catch the main member 11, so that the slider 21 is secured in its position. Conversely, when the tightener 23 is loosened, the slider 21 may be moved to another position. The horizontal moving unit includes a horizontal member 31, which is slidably mounted to the outer portion of the auxiliary tightening member 22, and a bolt member 32 and a nut member 33, which tighten the horizontal member 31. The horizontal member 31 is elastically opened so as to be fitted over the auxiliary tightening member 22, and is tightened by the bolt member 32 and the nut member 33 so as to be secured to the auxiliary tightening member 22. That is, the horizontal member 31 is mounted to the auxiliary tightening member 22 in such a way as to move in the longitudinal direction of the auxiliary tightening member, and is secured in its position by tightening the bolt member 32 and the nut member 33. A scale is formed on the upper surface of the auxiliary tightening member 22 in the longitudinal direction thereof, and a through hole 31a is formed in a predetermined portion of the horizontal member 31, so that a user can see the scale of the auxiliary tightening member 22. The bolt member 32 passes through the horizontal member 31 and is fastened to the nut member 33. The rotating member 41 is coupled to a portion of the bolt member which is exposed outside of the horizontal member 31. The rotating member 41 is fitted over the bolt member 32, and rotates around the bolt member 32, thus causing the direction indicating part 10 to rotate around the putting direction of the putter. In this case, the bolt member 32 is placed in the putting direction so that it is parallel to the direction indicating part 10. The mounting bracket 50 is rotatably hinged to one side of the rotating member 41. A fastening member 60 is rotatably hinged to the other side of the rotating member 41 so as to lock the mounting bracket 50. The fastening member 60 includes a bolt member 61, which is hinged to the rotating member 41, and a nut member 62, which is fastened to the bolt member 61. The putter P is inserted between the mounting bracket 50 and the rotating member 41, and then the nut member 62 is fastened to the bolt member 61 to support the mounting bracket 50. Thereby, the putter is secured between the mounting bracket and the rotating member. Although the preferred embodiment of the present invention has been disclosed for illustrative purposes, those skilled in the art will appreciate that various modifications, additions and substitutions are possible, without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention as disclosed in the accompanying claims.
