Abstract

Le traitement des malformations complexes du pied requiert souvent l'emploi de fixateurs externes spécifiques pour traIter les malformations dans des directions multiplans et les contractures des articulations tibio-tarsiennes, ainsi que les malformations de l'avant-pied. Dans les cas les plus graves, la meilleure solution consiste à utiliser des systèmes de distraction articulaire externes pour rétablir le fonctionnement des articulations et traiter le raccourcissement du pied. Le dispositif correspondant objet de l'invention est fixé de manière externe afin de traiter les différents types de malformations du pied acquises ou congénitales et les fractures. Il consiste en trois arcs reliés les uns aux autres par des tiges et des parties articulées qui permettent les mouvements des différentes parties du pied dans différentes directions et situations. Le dispositif comprend également un ensemble de systèmes permettant le maintien, le guidage et la fixation de vis à travers les principales parties du pied, ces vis ayant été insérées dans l'os par les côtés pour la période de traitement. Le dispositif permet au patient de marcher facilement en portant une fixation de chaussure spécifique. L'emploi d'un système de fixation externe constitue un traitement idéal des malformations du pied complexes congénitales ou post-traumatiques et permet une bonne correction avec un bon résultat fonctionnel et esthétique pour le patient.
