Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for ensuring the traceability of products that incorporate electronic identification means and a security module stamp to be used therein. Said method allows total monitoring of any type of moving product and applies particularly and preferably to the transportation of goods. It is implemented by means of the following steps: a) incorporating into the product to be monitored a passive traceability module that contains electronic, electrical or optical means capable of storing and transmitting data; b) incorporating at least one active traceability module close to a passive module, in order to receive the data transmitted by said passive module; and c) transmitting the data received at the at least one active module to a fixed or movable central product-traceability unit or other alarm, security or programming devices. The security module stamp to be used in the method consists of a microcontroller that is linked to and receives data from at least one RFID reader and an RF interface, these latter being connected to at least one RFID antenna and an RF interface antenna. Said microcontroller is likewise connected to sensors and to a rechargeable battery, from which it receives analogue signals. A power-supply source for powering said elements is connected.
