The inventive method for protecting a locking device consists is mounting mechanical, laser, infrared movement-sensitive and other means in front of a locking device or thereinside and in connecting said means to alarm means. The inventive means for protecting a locking device is embodied in the form of a mechanical, laser, infrared movement-sensitive and other curtain which is connected to an alarm electric circuit. Said mechanical curtain can be embodied in the form of a protective plate provided with a magnetic or contact sensor which is connected to the alarm electric circuit. The laser curtain can be embodied in the form of a unit which consists of a light source and a light sensor and is connected to the alarm electric circuit. The infrared movement-sensitive curtain can be embodied in the form of an infrared ray sensor connected to the alarm electric circuit.
