Abstract

The invention relates to a pressure-wave driven separation (1) of liquid and/or solid matter from a medium, according to which the pressure waves are transported (6) into the medium with such a frequency and/or intensity pattern that the binding action of the gaseous components and the liquid and/or solid matter to be separated is affected in different ways, allowing the gaseous components to flow geodetically upwards and the liquid and/or solid matter to be separated to be fed geodetically downwards to a separator element (7).
