Abstract

Procédé et dispositif de codage hiérarchique d'un signal audio source, procédé et dispositif de décodage, programmes et signal correspondants. L'invention concerne un procédé de codage hiérarchique d'un signal audio source sous la forme d'un flux de données (200) comprenant un niveau de base (207) et au moins deux niveaux de rehaussement hiérarchiques (208, 209, 210, 211), chacun desdits niveaux étant organisé en trames successives. Selon l'invention, au moins une trame d'au moins un niveau de rehaussement (208, 209, 210, 211) est d'une durée inférieure à la durée d'au moins une trame dudit niveau de base (207), et on insère dans ledit flux au moins une information représentative d'un ordre utilisé pour un ensemble de trames correspondant à la durée d'au moins une trame dudit niveau de base (207).
