Abstract
There are methods and apparatus for low complexity error resilient motion estimation and coding mode selection. A video encoder includes an encoder (100) for encoding a video sequence using weighted error concealment distortion to account for packet loss impact on a video quality of the video sequence at a corresponding decoder.
