Abstract

La présente invention concerne un appareil pour décoder un signal et un procédé correspondant, grâce auxquels le signal audio peut être commandé de façon à modifier/donner des caractéristiques spatiales (par ex. l'emplacement virtuel de l'auditeur, l'emplacement virtuel d'une source spécifique) du signal audio. Le procédé de l'invention consiste à recevoir un paramètre d'objet, à extraire des informations d'objet en analysant le paramètre d'objet, à produire un paramètre de commande en se servant des informations d'objet extraites et des informations de commande comprenant des informations de commande utilisateur et/ou des informations de commande par défaut et/ou des informations de commande de dispositif et/ou des informations de dispositif, et à produire un paramètre de rendu qui détermine l'emplacement et le niveau d'un objet dans un signal de sortie au moyen du paramètre d'objet et du paramètre de commande.
