Abstract

Flat elements for underwater fitness by invention are presenting a device for agitating in water, where the parts of the individual elements on which we are working, like for example rotational plate (1), paddle (6), pedal (10), plate (16) and foot (19) may be hollow and it is possible to pour in a different amount of water and by that regulate the lifting power of a part of an individual element, which with regulating the remoteness of some of the parts from the rotating axle enables the precise regulating of the force, with which the concrete element is responding. All the described elements should be placed on the hanging framework, which is hanging at the edge of the pool, standing framework, which is standing at the bottom of the pool, and swimming framework, which is fixed on the swimming hoop.

Description

PLANE ELEMENTS FOR UNDER-WATER FITNESS
The object of the invention are plane elements for under-water fitness, placed at the pool wall, self-standing in the pool or swimming and are operated in the water in the sense of pushing and pulling. Elements according to the invention, movably placed on standings or carriers, respectively, are arranged for exercise of upper and lower extremities and are realized also as hollow bodies such, that their buoyancy can be exploited during exercise, which is regulated by the amount of poured in water, and the plane shape apart from exercise also creates water current, which influences the body as a massage. The invention belongs to class A 63 B 21/00 of the International Patent Classification. The technical problem, successfully solved by the presented invention, is the construction and realization of such excercise fitness elements, which will enable exercise and mutual massaging of body by precise setting of required force and producing as less injurious body loadings as possible. The so far known fitness under-water devices are designed in such a way, that a rotating driving gear, similar to a pedal, is designed for exercise of upper part of the body. The driving gear has instead of pedals two handles, rotating in the opposite directions, because they are connected in the bearing. The handles have only such amount of resistance, as is created by their shape, i.e. the size of the handle, while moving through water. Leg element has pedals similar to bicycle pedals, whereby its resistance depends on the size of the pedals. Both systems - arm and leg system - have forced rotation. The imitation of rowing is not self-movable, as well, but is a forced movement, because it occurs on one axis.
In this way plane elements for under-water fitness according to the invention in variously composed combinations represent device for exercise in water, whereby parts of single plane elements, which are used, as e.g. rotation plate, paddle, pedal and foot, can be hollow, as well, and it is possible to pour various amounts of water into plane elements and in this way also to regulate buoyancy of a part of single element, and regulation of distance between some parts and axis of rotation enables precise setting of force, responded by the concrete element. All described elements can be placed on suspension framework, hanging from the pool edge, on standing three-shanked framework, standing at the pool bottom, and on floating framework, fixed to the floating ring.
Plane elements for under-water fitness according to the invention will be described in detail on the basis of realized example and its pictures, from which: picture 1 shows rotation element in side-view and front-view; picture 2 shows vertical element in side-view and top-view; picture 3 shows horizontal element in front-view and top-view; picture 4 shows combination of horizontal and vertical movable element in side-view; picture 5 shows fixation system for elements in combination with movable plate for deep pools in ground plan and side-view; picture 6 shows stand with carriers for set fixation of two compositions of elements according to the invention; picture 7 shows stand with carriers for set fixation of three compositions of elements according to the invention.
Plane elements for under-water fitness, that are shown in pictures, because of its shape (plane size) and in the case of hollow body also by regulation of buoyancy, enable efficient exercise. If the elements are hollow, it is possible to pour in various amount of water and in this way to regulate buoyancy precisely. While pushing single surfaces of element down we have to apply the force to overcome the lifting power of water and also the buoyancy, if the element is empty. By pouring water into single element the bouyant force is decreased and in this way the force acting on the element itself is regulated. Because of its shape (plane) movement of element through water creates turbulences that can be efficiently used for body massage. In water empty hollow element always turns into position, which the user should occupy to be able to hold it with its arms and to act on the element with its legs. This also influences the efficiency of uniform movement, rotation, pushing or pulling. Because of appropriate construction solution we can also change the force, used for pulling, pushing or rotating single element.
Single elements, which are shown in pictures, will be described according to the realization, whereby they are fixed to the pool edge. Equally shaped elements can also be placed on standing or floating two- shanked or three-shanked stand with carriers for set fixation of elements.
Rotation element in side-view and front-view is shown in picture 1. The element is suspended from carrying construction, connected by handle 2 to pool edge. Rotation element consists of two rotationally fixed plates 1 , that are fixed to rotation bearing 4 over axis 3. Each of plates 1 has handle 5. Rotation plates 1 are hollow and can be filled with water through handle 5. Rotation bearing 4 enables fixation of rotation plates 1 at different distances from the center, so that by changing position of plate 1 in rotation bearing 4 we can also regulate the force, used for movement of rotation plates 1.
Picture 2 shows vertical element in front-view and top-view. On this element we act with arms. Vertical element is suspended from carrying construction, fixed to pool edge. Vertical element consists of two, on axes 8, movably over connecting tubes 9, fixed spade-shaped paddles 6 with handle 7. Each paddle 6 is hollow and has predicted opening for pouring in water, opening is covered with stopper 13. By moving paddles 6 along connecting tubes 9 we can regulate operating force of device. Picture 3 shows horizontal element in front-view and top-view. On this element we act with legs. Horizontal element is suspended from carrying construction, fixed to pool edge. Horizontal element consists of two, on axes 12 movably over connecting tubes, fixed spade-shaped pedals 10 with accessory 11 for leg. Each pedal 10 is hollow and has predicted opening for pouring in water, opening is covered with stopper 13. rita z zamaskom 13. By moving pedals 10 along connecting tubes 9 we can regulate operating force of device.
Picture 4 shows combination of horizontal and vertical element in side- view. Such combination represents device for imitation of ski-running or stepper, respectively. In this realization the axis 14 of device is fixed to framework and connected by connecting tube 15 to hollow plate 16, and at the end of tube 15 there is handle 17. Horizontal part of combined horizontal and vertical element is fixed on the same axis 14 as tube 15 and represents connecting tube 18, which has at its end over axis 20 fixed rotating hollow foot 19. Rotating hollow foot 19 has predicted opening, through which it is possible to pour in water and the opening is covered with stopper 13.
Picture 5 shows fixation system for elements in combination with movable platform for deeper pools in ground plan and side-view. Movable platform 23 is designed for adaptation of system to user's height, especially in deep pools. Therefore movable platform 23 is movably fixed over tube 21 , lying in profile 22, fixed to pool edge, whereby in profile 22 also fixation accessory 24 for elements is realized.
Pictures 6 and 7 show stand with carriers for set fixation of two or three complexes of elements according to the invention, whereby picture 6 shows stand, appropriate to be placed at pool bottom, that contains two vertically standing tubes A for set fixation of elements according to the inventin and for set fixation of appropriate seats, while picture 7 shows three-part stand, which at the ends of its shanks has realized pairs of tubes B for set fixation of elements according to the invention and for set fixation of appropriate seats.
In all described elements according to the invention the parts on which we act, therefore rotation plate 1 , paddle 6, pedal 10, plate 16 and foot 19 can be hollow, and thus it is possible to fill them with various amount of water and in this way also to regulate bouyancy of single element's part, what together with regulation of some parts' distance from axis of rotation enables precise setting of force responded by concrete element. In realized example elements according to the invention can be made of material of lower weight than water (e.g. styrofoam, cork and similar). Because of shape of described elements their movement creates turbulent currents in surrounding water in pool, what gives additional favourable effects of body massage, under-water exercise and therapy.
