Brief Description of the Drawings
[12] FIG. 1 is a view illustrating a necktie according to one embodiment of the present invention, the necktie including a front tie member, a rear tie member and knot auxiliary equipment separated from each other;
[13] FIG. 2 is a partial sectional view illustrating the necktie according to the embodiment of the present invention, and more particularly illustrating a method of making a knot in the necktie;
[14] FIG. 3 is a view illustrating knot auxiliary equipment according to another embodiment of the present invention. Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
[15] Hereinafter, a necktie according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention will be more apparent from the following description with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[16] FIG. 1 illustrates a necktie according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention. Referring to FIG. 1, the necktie comprises a front tie member 10, knot auxiliary equipment 20 and a rear tie member 30.
[17] The front tie member 10 means the front part of a necktie 2, which is disposed in front to be visible to people, extends down from the knot, and has a relatively large width. The front tie member 10 is attached to the knot auxiliary equipment 20, which has a reverse trapezoid shape, such that the rear surface of the front tie member 10 faces forwards. Accordingly, if the front tie member 10 is passed through the knot auxiliary equipment 20 from a longer width side to a shorter width side, the front surface of the front tie member faces the front direction.
[18] Further, since the front tie member 10 is detachably combined with the knot auxiliary equipment 20, the length of the front tie member 10 can be adjusted.
[19] For example, referring to FIG. 1, the front tie member 10 has a plurality of oval holes 12 extending in the length direction of the front tie member 10 at an end portion thereof, and the knot auxiliary equipment 20 has a button 22 to engage any one of the oval holes 12. The button 22 is preferably disposed inside the knot auxiliary equipment 20 so as to be hidden, in consideration of the appearance of the necktie. By buttoning the button 22 to any of the plurality of the holes 12, the length of the front tie member 10 can be adjusted depending on the height of the user. According to the present embodiment, the oval holes and the button are provided as a length adjustment means for the front tie member, but the length adjustment means for the front tie member according to the present invention is not limited thereto. A Velcro fastener or a hook can be used as the length adjustment means for the front tie member.
[20] The knot auxiliary equipment 20 is provided to help easily make a knot of a necktie, and has two hollows 23 and 25 having different inside diameters so that the
front tie member 10 and the rear tie member 30 pass through the hollows 23 and 25, respectively. Preferably, the outer hollow 25 surrounds the inner hollow 23. Hereinafter, the inner hollow 23 is called a smaller hollow and the outer hollow 25 is called a larger hollow.
[21] The knot auxiliary equipment 20 has a through hole formed to penetrate from an upper end to a lower end. The knot auxiliary equipment 20 has a variety of shapes such as trapezoid, diamond, or heart, and is made of synthetic fiber fabric like the front and rear tie members 10 and 30, or can be made of leather or metal, different from the material of the front tie member 10 and the rear tie member 30.
[22] The rear tie member 30 is comprised of a circularly wound part to be placed around the neck of a user and a straight part extending down from the knot, being disposed behind the front tie member 10 and having a relatively small width in comparison with other parts. The rear tie member 30 is seam to the upper end portion of the knot auxiliary equipment 20. The sewn portion of the rear tie member 30 is offset to the left or the right when viewing the necktie from the front in order to balance the bilateral symmetry of the front tie member because an end 32 of the rear tie member passes through a side of the knot auxiliary equipment 20 opposite the sewn portion.
[23] Hereinafter, a method of making a knot in the necktie according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described.
[24] Referring to FIG. 2, first, a rear tie member 30 is put around a user's neck, and an end 32 of the necktie is passed from an upper end to a lower end of the knot auxiliary equipment 20 through the smaller hollow 23. Next, the rear tie member 30 is passed through the smaller hollow 23 to fit the user's neck.
[25] Next, an end 11 of the front tie member 10 is passed through the circularly wound part of the rear tie member 30 and is then passed from an upper end to a lower end of the larger hollow 25 of the knot auxiliary equipment 20. As a result, the open end of the knot auxiliary equipment 20 is adequately hidden by the front tie member 10, and respective sides of the rear tie member 30 are separated in respective opposite directions, so that appearance of the knot becomes neat.
[26] As described above, by inserting the rear tie member 30 into the smaller hollow 23 and inserting the front tie member 10 into the larger hollow 25, the front tie member 10 is securely supported by the rear tie member 30, and the appearance of the knot is not easily deteriorated.
[27] The method of untying the necktie is in the opposite order of the method of tying the necktie. Accordingly, description on the method of untying the necktie will be omitted.
[28] FIG. 3 illustrates a necktie according to a further embodiment of the present invention. Only different aspects between the neckties shown in FIG. 2 and FIG. 3 will
be described.
[29] A rear tie member 40 includes a neck part 42 having a free size and a loop shape so that it can be put around a user's neck, and a tail part 44 extending from a portion of the neck part 42 and integrated with the neck part 42.
[30] Knot auxiliary equipment 50 has a main body 52 made of metal and combined with a front tie member 10 and the rear tie member 40.
[31] The main body 52 of the knot auxiliary equipment 50 has a through hole extending in the vertical direction from an upper end to a lower end thereof, and a rear side of the main body 52 is cut, so that the through hole is partially open. That is, referring to FIG. 3, respective side ends 54 and 55 of the main body 52 are bent inward to face each other and coupled to a coupling member 56 to form a knot by allowing the front tie member 10 and the rear tie member 40 to pass therethrough.
[32] The coupling member 56 is a support frame coupled to the side ends 54 and 55 of the main body 52 and has two through holes 57 having different diameters, the through holes 57 being provided by using synthetic fiber fabric, so that the front tie member 10 and the rear tie member 40 can pass through the respective through holes. The synthetic fiber fabric for providing the through holes 57 is attached to the coupling member 58 using a bonding member 58.
[33] Since the method of tying the necktie described above is the same as the method of tying the necktie shown in FIG. 2, detailed description thereof will be omitted. In the above embodiment, the knot auxiliary equipment 50 has a trapezoid shape, but the shape of the knot auxiliary equipment 50 is not limited thereto. That is, the knot auxiliary equipment 50 may have a variety of forms such as a semicircular shape, circular shape, or rectangular shape. Further, a variety of patterns can be formed on the surface of the knot auxiliary equipment using checks or others, thereby expressing a variety of fashions. Industrial Applicability
