Description
Title: "CONSTRUCTIVE ARRANGEMENT ON A GARBAGE COLLECTOR" Field of the invention
The present invention relates to a constructive arrangement on garbage collectors, which aims at providing better ergonomic conditions of moving and carrying them, as well as more hygiene and asepsis in the garbage collecting operation during sweeping, permitting rapid, safe, hygienic and comfortable cleaning, in ergonomic terms, of internal and external environments. Background of the invention Garbage collectors known from the prior art are generally provided with a hollow body for storing garbage, with an open end for collecting garbage, and a long and rectilinear handle attached to this body for handling and transporting such collectors. Some collectors are further provided with a pivotal cover that closes the open end of the collector. These known types of garbage collectors do not have satisfactory conditions of mobility and transport, because they have to be lifted from the floor by means of its handle and carried by the user, in order to be positioned at the adequate places, so that the garbage can be swept into it. During the activity of collecting garbage, the collector has to be displaced several times from short distances, until the whole desired area has been swept and cleaned. At some occasions, when the collector is filled with garbage or some other heavy load, it may be quite heavy, which makes the displacement thereof even more difficult.
Besides, while cleaning an environment, the user has to carry, in addition to the garbage collector, separately also a broom, which further increases the weight carried by the user, generally for a long period of time. During the cleaning process, the broom bristles get dirtier and dirtier. So, when the user finishes cleaning an environment and does not have the possibility of cleaning the broom bristles, he goes to another environment, carrying the broom with its dirty bristles, which may even dirt clean environments.
Garbage collectors of this type further have the drawback of
being considerably large, taking up much space at the place where they are kept, in cleaning-material deposits and mainly inside the house. These places generally have limited space, where other cleaning equipment too, such as brooms, squeegees, buckets have to be kept. Objectives of the invention
Thus, an objective of the present invention is to provide a constructive arrangement on a garbage collector that brings about greater ease of moving and carrying the collector during the cleaning process, as well as greater rapidity and efficiency in cleaning, while providing greater comfort and better ergonomics to the user.
It is also an objective of the invention to provide a constructive arrangement on a garbage collector, so as to bring about greater hygiene and asepsis during the garbage collection and also while carrying and storing the collector and the auxiliary cleaning equipment. Another objective of the invention is to provide a garbage collector that can stand in an essentially vertical stable position, occupying as little space as possible and without the need for additional support, also saving space at the place where it is kept. Brief description of the invention The objectives of the invention are achieved by means of a constructive arrangement on a garbage collector comprising a hollow body having a cavity for garbage, an opening for loading garbage, a handle extending from the collector, and further comprising a transverse axle coupled to the body and at least one wheel connected to the transverse axle and arranged at least partly outside the body.
The constructive arrangement on a garbage collector may further comprise a cover pivoted to the body, closing the garbage-loading opening, the handle being coupled to the pivoted cover.
Alternatively, the garbage depositing cavity of the constructive arrangement on a garbage collector according to the invention houses, in part, an auxiliary cleaning device having a handle, and the pivoted cover has a cut-out adjacent to its longitudinal opening edge perpendicular to its
pivoting direction, the handle of the auxiliary cleaning device being partly housed in the deposit cavity passes through the cut-out formed at the cover in the closed position and extends parallel to the handle of the garbage collector. At least one wheel may be arranged in the front or back region of the collector, and the body has a lower flat face in which the collector rests on the floor in a stable manner, with the handle extending vertically. Alternatively, the at least one wheel is arranged in the lower region of the collector body opposite the garbage loading opening. The handle is rectilinear in shape, having an inclined region at its end opposite the body. The pivoted cover may be provided with a locking border comprised by a projection forming an angled with the longitudinal opening edge of the cover, which meets the garbage loading opening edge. Brief description of the drawings The present invention will now be described in greater detail with reference to the drawings. The figures show:

Detailed description of the figures As can be seen in figures 1 to 9, which illustrate a preferred embodiment of the invention, the constructive arrangement on a garbage collector according to the invention comprises a hollow body 1 having a prism shape, and rounded edges. The body 1 has a garbage depositing cavity and a garbage loading opening in one of its faces. The collector further has an essentially rectilinear handle 6, which extends from the collector for handling by the user.
In this preferred embodiment of the invention, the collector is further provided with a cover 2 pivoted to the body 1 , to close and open the garbage loading opening. As can be seen more clearly in figures 5 to 7, the handle 6 is attached to an outer face of the pivoted cover, so that one can open and close the cover comfortably, by merely moving the handle 6.
The constructive arrangement on a collector according to the invention further has a transverse axle 3 coupled to the collector body 1 and at least one wheel 4 connected to the transverse axle 3 and arranged at least partly outside the body 1 , which permit the displacement of the collector sliding on the at least one wheel 4, by simply pulling or pushing the collector by its handle 6.
The sliding of the collector on the wheels facilitates its displacement, enabling the user to make less effort to load it and to pull it in a more comfortable position, also increasing the velocity and efficiency of the cleaning.
As can be seen in figures 1 , 3, 4 and 6, in the preferred
embodiment of the invention, the transverse axle 3 is coupled outside the lower region of the body 1 that is opposite the garbage loading opening, and is connected to a wheel 4 at each of its ends. The body 1 may further be provided with two recesses at its lower sides, in which the wheels 4 are housed, so as to diminish the total space occupied by the collector. The advantage of the arrangement of the wheels in this embodiment of the invention is that the collector is capable of sliding on the wheels while it is pulled both forward and backward.
In alternative embodiments of the invention, not illustrated in the figures, the collector may be provided with only one wheel, preferably arranged in the central lower region of the body, or still with more than two wheels. The transverse axle and the at least one wheel may further be partly housed inside the body of the garbage collector, in any arrangement that allows the collector to slide on the wheel. In another preferred embodiment of the invention, the lower part of the body 1 has a flat face for resting the collector on the floor in a stable manner. In this way, when the collector is in the position resting on the flat support face, the handle 6 extends vertically. In this embodiment of the invention, the wheels are arranged at the lower end of the front face or back face of the collector body 1 , so that the collector handle has to be inclined forward or backward until the wheels touch the floor, and thus the collector can slide on the wheels when pulled by the handle. This embodiment of the invention has the advantage of enabling the collector to remain standing at the vertical position. In the preferred embodiment of the invention, and as can bee seen in figures 2, 6 and 9, the pivoted cover has a locking border constituted by a projection 7 forming an angle with the cover surface, built at the longitudinal cover edge which meets the edge of the garbage loading opening. This projection 7 enables one to attach said pivoted cover by snap action near the upper end of the front wall of the collector body 1.
The volume of the deposit cavity of the collector body is such that it is capable of housing, with the cover closed, a broom head with its bristles,
a squeegee, a scrubbing-brush or another auxiliary cleaning instrument provided with a handle.
As can be seen in figures 5 and 7, the pivoted cover has a cutout 5 formed at its longitudinal opening edge perpendicular to the direction of cover articulation. This cut-out 5 has a rounded inner border and a diameter slightly greater than the diameter of the broom handle or the handle of another auxiliary cleaning instrument. Thus, when the auxiliary cleaning instrument is housed within the collector body and the cover is closed, the handle of the auxiliary cleaning instrument extends out of the collector body and fits into the cut-out 5, without hindering one from closing the cover 2. The arrangement of the cut-out 5 further enables the handle of the auxiliary cleaning instrument to be parallel to the collector handle 6, thus facilitating the balance of the collector in the vertical position and saving space in the place where the collector is kept. In this way, when the collector is out of use, it can be kept in the vertical position, with its cover 2 closed, and housing the auxiliary cleaning instrument. This arrangement contributes not only to the saving of space, but also to the hygiene, asepsis and esthetics of the place, since the part of the auxiliary cleaning instrument that comes into contact with the dirt remains housed inside the closed cavity of the collector, thus being isolated from the external environment.
In addition, the collector can be displaced with the auxiliary cleaning instrument housed inside it, thus facilitating and decreasing the necessary effort on the part of the user to carry the cleaning assembly. In an alternative form of the invention, not illustrated in the figures, the rectilinear handle 6 has an inclined portion at its end distal from the collector body 1. This inclination of the handle facilitates the displacement of the collector, since the handle may be pulled or pushed by the user in a more comfortable position and with a more ergonomic posture. It should be pointed out that such an arrangement on a garbage collector may be manufactured from various materials, depending on the place where the collector will be used.
Examples of preferred embodiments having been described, it should be understood that the scope of the present invention embraces other possible variations, being limited only by the contents of the accompanying claims, which include the possible equivalents.
