Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de récupérer du pétrole valorisé à partir d'une formation pétrolifère, dans lequel un fluide chaud en phase gazeuse comprenant de la vapeur est amené en contact avec un réservoir de pétrole lourd, par exemple, par injection; le fluide chaud chauffe au moins une partie du réservoir à une température suffisamment élevée pour effectuer un vapocraquage; et la vapeur est ensuite mise à réagir avec le pétrole lourd afin de produire un pétrole plus léger craqué à la vapeur.
