Description
VIBRATORY ACCESSORIES
Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to vibratory accessories, and more particularly, to a vibratory device, which is configured to be inserted through a hole pierced in a specific area of the human body and used to stimulate a partner's sexual sensation while vibrating using electric power from a battery, in addition to achieve a body decoration effect. Background Art
[2] The origin of accessories can be traced back to ancient incantation civilizations. In the present generation, accessories are not limited to women's decorations, but widely used in various cultures without distinction of sex.
[3] Such accessories have been developed and used in a variety of kinds including commonly used items such as earrings, necklaces, and rings, which are to be simply worn by body parts, and other items inserted through holes pierced in specific areas of the human body such as the earlobe, nose and tongue.
[4] Moreover, there has been a recent tendency to develop accessories to have a variety of functions, for example, function for facilitating the user's blood circulation or stimulating a partner's tactile sense, rather than having a simple decorative function.
[5] In particular, as examples of accessories of a type for stimulating a partner's tactile sense, there exist a number of devices designed to enhance the quality of sexual activity between partners.
[6] For example, U.S. Patent No. 6,419,649 discloses an Erotic Stimulator used to enhance the quality of sexual activity between partners while also being used as accessories attached to the user's body.
[7] The Erotic Stimulator disclosed in the above patent publication includes a battery powered electric vibrator to be inserted through a hole pierced in the user's tongue.
[8] More particularly, according to a first embodiment of the conventional Erotic
Stimulator, the Erotic Stimulator comprises: a vibrator device including a battery- powered electric vibration generator and a moisture resistant housing encasing the electric vibration generator; a post to be assembled through a pierced portion of the human body, the post having one end connected to the housing of the vibrator device; a battery housing encasing a battery, the battery housing being connected to the post; means providing electrical connection from the battery to the electric vibration generator so as to provide electric power for the electric vibration generator; and means for retaining the post on the pierced portion of the body
[9] In a second embodiment of the Erotic Stimulator disclosed in the above patent publication, snap sockets of the moisture resistant housing are coupled to snap tabs of the battery housing to constitute a single case, the vibration generator and battery being stacked together in the case. Also, the post, which will be assembled through a hole pierced in the tongue, is connected, at one end thereof, to the battery housing, and the other end of the post incorporates a detachable retainer (or retaining ball) having a large diameter. Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem
[10] In the first embodiment of the Erotic Stimulator as stated above, the battery and vibration generator are mounted at opposite ends of the post, to have a dumbbell structure. In this case, however, there is a problem in that the resulting structure is complex and bulky because positive and negative conductors must be provided inside and outside of the post, respectively, to transmit electric power from the battery to the vibration generator.
[11] On the other hand, in the above described second embodiment, since the moisture resistant housing and battery housing constitute a single case, a simplified and compact structure can be accomplished. Also, the battery and vibration generator are sequentially arranged in the same direction as a longitudinal direction of the post, and the post is fastened thereto in a screwing manner. Thereby, the vibration generator is able to be turned on via connection of positive and negative terminals.
[12] However, the second embodiment still has a problem of the bulky structure because arranging the battery and vibration generator in the longitudinal direction of the post increases the length and size of the resulting structure. Furthermore, the above described vibration generator includes a cylindrical motor having a weight, the motor being disposed perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the post such that the battery is inserted in a rear portion of the motor. Such a motor arrangement makes the connection structure of terminals to be complicated, and limits reduction of the size of the terminal connection structure.
[13] Also, when the moisture resistant housing and battery housing are coupled to each other via the fastening of snap tabs and snap sockets, the snap tabs are liable to be deformed and have a poor moisture-proof ability.
[14] Therefore, the present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a vibratory accessory in which a battery and vibrator are arranged parallel to each other in a direction perpendicular to a post while being directly connected to the post, thereby achieving not only a simplified compact T-shaped arrangement, but also an easy and stable electrical connection
between the battery and the vibrator.
[15] It is another object of the present invention to provide a vibratory accessory in which a battery housing and vibrator housing are coupled to each other via spiral rotation thereof, thereby achieving an improvement in moisture-proof ability and allowing an electrical connection between a battery and a vibrator to be easily turned on and off as the battery housing and vibrator housing are rotated to be fastened to and unfastened from each other. Technical Solution
[16] In accordance with an aspect of the present invention, the above and other objects can be accomplished by the provision of a vibratory accessory comprising: a connecting member; a vibrator housing disposed perpendicular to the connecting member and coupled to one end of the connecting member; a vibrator received in the vibrator housing; a battery disposed parallel to the vibrator in a direction perpendicular to the connecting member; a battery housing encasing the battery therein; a single capsule formed by coupling the vibrator housing and battery housing to each other via spiral rotation thereof; an electrical connector for providing electrical connection from the battery to the vibrator; and a retainer assembled to the other end of the connecting member.
[17] Preferably, the vibrator housing and battery housing may be formed with ma Ie- threads and female-threads, respectively, at locations corresponding to each other, so as to turn on or off the electrical connection as the vibrator housing and battery housing are rotated to be fastened to or unfastened from each other. Also, an O-ring may be mounted in a coupling region between the vibrator housing and the battery housing.
[18] Preferably, the electrical connector may include: a positive conductor for connecting a positive terminal of the vibrator to the vibrator housing, the positive conductor also being connected to a positive terminal of the battery via the vibrator housing and battery housing; and a negative spring conductor connected to a negative terminal of the vibrator, the negative spring conductor protruding toward a negative terminal of the battery to have a predetermined gap with the negative terminal of the battery. A cushion ring may be interposed between the vibrator housing and the battery. The negative spring conductor may be connected to the negative terminal of the battery as the battery housing and vibrator housing are fastened to each other.
Advantageous Effects
[19] The present invention provides a vibratory accessory having the following effects.
First, the vibratory accessory having the above described configuration can achieve a body decoration effect when it is attached to a specific area of the human body. Also,
the vibratory accessory can be advantageously used to enhance the quality of sexual activity between partners as a vibrator thereof vibrates using electric power from a battery.
[20] Furthermore, the vibratory accessory of the present invention can achieve a reduction in diameters of a connecting member and cylindrical capsule. As a result, it is possible to achieve a compact and light-weight product having a simplified structure.
[21] Also, according to the present invention, the battery and vibrator of the vibratory accessory are arranged in a direction perpendicular to the connecting member such that they are closely located parallel to each other, and a battery housing and vibrator housing are coupled to each other via spiral rotation thereof. With this configuration, the vibrator can be easily turned on and off as the battery housing and vibrator housing are rotated to be fastened to and unfastened from each other. Also, this electrical connection has the effect of eliminating a poor battery contact, and the resulting vibratory accessory can achieve improved moisture proof ability. Brief Description of the Drawings
[22] The above and other objects, features and other advantages of the present invention will be more clearly understood from the following detailed description taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which:
[23] FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating a vibratory accessory according to the present invention;
[24] FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view of the vibratory accessory of FIG. 1 ; and
[25] FIG. 3 is a sectional view of the vibratory accessory of FIG. 1.
Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
[26] Now, a preferred embodiment of the present invention will be explained in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[27] FIG. 1 illustrates an outer appearance of the vibratory accessory according to the present invention, and FIGS. 2 and 3 illustrate the interior configuration of the vibratory accessory.
[28] As can be seen from the drawings, the vibratory accessory of the present invention has an approximately T-shaped outer appearance, which is obtained by coupling a connecting member to a cylindrical capsule 1 to be perpendicular to each other. In the present embodiment, the connecting member denotes a linear post 3.
[29] The post 3 is configured to be assembled through a hole previously pierced in a specific area of the human body, more particularly, the tongue, nose and earlobe. A retainer 5 is coupled to a distal end of the post 3 in order to keep the post in the assembled state without the risk of separation.
[30] Although the retainer 5 is shown in the form of a retaining ball in the accompanying
drawings, the present invention is not limited thereto, and the retainer 5 may take other various shapes including an ellipsoid, hexahedron, and other polyhedrons. The retainer 5 is fastened to the post 3 in a screwing manner, and thus, can be easily fastened to and unfastened from the post 3.
[31] Differently from that disclosed in the previously described U.S. Patent, the post 3 of the present invention has no need to mount separate electrical connection means therein. Accordingly, in the present invention, the length and diameter of the post 3 can be reduced to the maximum extent. Also, the post 3 may be made of non-conductive synthetic resin or titanium harmless to the human body.
[32] With the above described configuration, the post 3 of the present invention has a reduced diameter equal to one half or less of that mentioned in the conventional U.S. Patent. Furthermore, the weight of the post 3 can be reduced to one third of that mentioned in the conventional U.S. Patent by appropriately changing the constituent material of the post 3.
[33] Meanwhile, in the present invention, the cylindrical capsule 1, which is coupled to t he post 3 perpendicular thereto, is divided into two separable parts. The cylindrical capsule 1 encases a vibrator 7 and battery 9 arranged parallel to each other therein. In this case, although the vibrator 7 and battery 9 are closely arranged, preferably, the vibrator 7 and battery 9 have a predetermined gap therebetween. Also, the vibrator 7 and battery 9 are able to be electrically connected or disconnected as the divided two parts of the cylindrical capsule 1 are fastened to and unfastened from each other.
[34] The vibrator 7 takes the form of a cylindrical motor, which is the newest small motor containing a weight therein. The vibrator 7 and battery 9 are selected to have the same or similar diameter as each other.
[35] The cylindrical capsule 1 of the present invention consists of a vibrator housing 11 encasing the vibrator 7 therein, the vibrator housing 11 being connected to one end of the post 3, and a battery housing 13 encasing the battery 9 therein, the battery housing 13 being separably coupled to the vibrator housing 11.
[36] The post 3 may be fastened to the vibrator housing 11 in a screwing manner or via interference fit, or may be integrally formed with the vibrator housing 11.
[37] The vibrator housing 11 and battery housing 13 are formed with male-threads 15 and female-threads 17, respectively, at their coupling locations corresponding to each other, so as to be fastened to each other or unfastened from each other via spiral rotation thereof. With this coupling manner, the vibrator housing 11 and battery housing 13 are not free from the risk of invasion of moisture such as water or saliva. Accordingly, it is important to provide a moisture proof means for the battery housing 11 and battery housing 13. For this reason, the present invention proposes to mount an O-ring 20, serving as the moisture proof means, in a coupling region between the
vibrator housing 11 and the battery housing 13.
[38] The vibratory accessory of the present invention further includes an electrical connector for transmitting electric power from the battery 9 to the vibrator 7.
[39] The electrical connector includes a positive conductor 19 that connects a positive terminal 7 a of the vibrator 7 to the vibrator housing 11. The positive conductor 19 is also connected to a positive terminal 9a of the battery 9 via the vibrator housing 11 and battery housing 13. Also, the electrical connector includes a negative spring conductor 21 connected to a negative terminal 7b of the vibrator 7, the negative spring connector 21 protruding toward a negative terminal 9b of the battery 9 to have a predetermined gap with the negative terminal of the battery 9.
[40] To achieve the electrical connector having the above described configuration, the battery housing 13 and vibrator housing 11 must be made of conductive metals for electrical connection between the positive conductor 19 and the positive terminal 9a of the battery 9. If the battery housing 13 and vibrator housing 11 are completely fastened to each other via spiral rotation thereof, the negative spring conductor 21 is able to come into contact with the negative terminal 9b of the battery 9, so as to achieve an electrical connection between the vibrator 7 and the battery 9. On the other hand, if the battery housing 13 and vibrator housing 11 are rotated in reverse, the negative spring conductor 21 is separated away from the negative terminal 9b of the battery 9, and thus, the vibrator 7 is electrically disconnected from the battery 9.
[41] In this case, to allow the negative spring conductor 21 to be separated from the negative terminal 9b of the battery 9, a cushion ring 23 is interposed between an end of the vibrator housing 11 and the battery 9. When the vibrator housing 11 and battery housing 13 are completely fastened to each other, the cushion ring 23 is in a compressed state while being pushed by the vibrator housing 11 and battery 9. On the other hand, if the vibrator housing 11 and battery housing 13 are unfastened from each other, the compressed cushion ring 23 acts to push the battery 9 in the right direction of FIG. 2, to enable the negative terminal 9b of the battery 9 to be separated from the negative spring conductor 21. Mode for the Invention
[42] In another embodiment of the present invention, the connecting member may have a closed curve shape, and the closed curve shape may be selected from among a circular, square and elliptical ring shape, and the like. As stated above, the closed curve shaped connecting member is able to be assembled through a hole previously pierced in the user's body. In this case, both ends of the connecting member are connected to the vibrator housing 11.
[43] The present embodiment has no need for separate retainers, and is efficient to
prevent unintentional separation of the connecting member.
[44] Alternatively, the connecting member may take the form of a curved post. In the case of the curved post, the retainer 5, which will be coupled to one end of the post, may take the form of a ring.
[45] Of course, it should be understood that the retainer 5 explained in the above best mode is also not limited to the retaining ball, and may take the form of a ring.
[46] Meanwhile, in yet another embodiment of the present invention, a soft cover layer may be formed over an outer surface of the cylindrical capsule 1. The soft cover layer is formed over outer surfaces of both the vibrator housing 11 and battery housing 13, and may be a colorless or colorful layer.
[47] Preferably, the soft cover layer is made of a material having the same texture as that of human skin. As one example, silicone may be used to constitute the soft cover layer, but the present invention is not limited thereto, and resin or rubber material is also usable. Industrial Applicability
[48] As apparent from the above description, the present invention provides a vibratory accessory which is inserted through a hole pierced in a specific area of the human body or worn around the specific area of the human body, thereby achieving a body decoration effect.
[49] Furthermore, the vibratory accessory of the present invention is advantageously usable as an erotic stimulator for enhancing the quality of sexual activity between partners while vibrating using electric power from a battery.
[50] Although the preferred embodiments of the present invention have been disclosed for illustrative purposes, those skilled in the art will appreciate that various modifications, additions and substitutions are possible, without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention as disclosed in the accompanying claims.
