Abstract

The invention relates to a method for producing fine-grained, polycrystalline materials or workpieces, in which the material is pressed through a pressing tool while pressure is applied and is pressed through a female mold (10) so as to be defined under shearing stress and is deflected in said process, the material being oriented in a pressing direction which is different from the direction of the pressure applied by the pressing tool. The material is deflected several times within the female mold. The invention also relates to a female mold (10) for an extrusion die, comprising a pressing duct which repeatedly deflects the material when the material is pressed through.
