Abstract

A hand iron internally heated by electricity has two switches (1 ,2) for connection to electric power, each switch corresponding to a separate electrical switching circuit. In a first case of a horizontal position of the iron during ironing of an item of clothing, using a first electrical switching circuit, a first switch (1) on the underside of the handle of the iron has to be pressed for supply with electric current for heating of the sole plate of the iron. The iron does not receive power in the horizontal, ironing position, if switch (1 ) is not pressed. In a second case of a vertical, upright position of the iron, whereby the iron lies on its rear base, whereby a second switch (2) on the rear base is pressed by the weight of the iron, using a second electrical switching circuit, power will be supplied to the iron as well. This second electrical switching circuit does not work, if the iron is picked up from its position lying on its rear base.

Most of the people use the iron to press their costumes, What ever users are civilians at home or workers on laundries

Disclosure of invention

Every body is pressing his costumes before wear it.

Either we do this by our self at home

Or we give it to the laundries

The majority of the people press their costumes at home for economic reasons and faster at the same time

But every one when pressing the costumes he has some fears on mind

Because there are some percentage of dangerous in this operation

The reason is our background and knowledge about some accidents

All of the accidents of the iron are forgetting the iron power on

In this case we face 3 problems:

1- Using more electricity

2- Bigger problem is to burn the costumes

3- But the biggest and most dangerous problem is to burn the house or even the building which we consider it really as a catastrophe

The new invention solve this problem

In this new invention we do not connect the electricity from the plug to the heater/s of the iron directly as in all irons at the present time

But we create two new additional buttons ( Figure 1 )

These two new buttons are the direct receivers of the electricity from the plug through wire, then connect the electricity to the heater/s of the Iron

Which means that these two buttons are a connection between the electricity arrives from the plug through the wires on the way to the heater/s of the iron

Accordingly, the electricity will pass to the heater/s till one of these two new buttons is pushed

This will mean an immediate order to the iron to shut down in case of not used

The first button is fixed on the handle of the iron ( figure 1, part i )

When we use the iron we will normally push the button while pressing

This will be considered as normal connection for the electricity because it means that we are pressing something

Then when we leave the iron for a while to adjust the costumes on its base ( figure 1 part 2 ) also will continue connected by electricity

This will lead to a continues of power on when using the iron

But in case we forget the iron on the costumes it will not burn the home which is considered as the most dangerous part of this problem

This is instead of the auto off which cost so much and need sometimes to shut down

Our new invention is adding two new buttons on the irons The first button will be on the handle of the iron The second button will be on the base of the iron According to the claim 1, the button on the handle is fixed on two parallel plugs

When we carry the iron we push automatically the inside button, which will connect the two parallel plugs to connect the currency to pass electricity to the heater This means if we leave the iron for any reason and forget it the two button normally will not be pushed leading to separate the two parallel plugs to shut down the heater of the iron immediately

According to the claim 1, the button on the base is fixed on two parallel plugs

When we leave the iron to adjust the costumes The button will be pushed automatically from the inside, which will connect the two parallel plugs to connect the currency to pass electricity to the heater This is for the continues of the power on And no dangerous of burning the room if we forget it on this stand

Which could be added later the auto shut down for this stand only
