Abstract

A jacketed hose assembly features an apparatus and method for connecting two jacketed hose systems in a sealing connection. The jacketed hose assembly includes an inner hose for transporting inner media between two jacketed hose systems, an outer hose that jackets the inner hose, which contains outer media, and a coupler for connecting the jacketed hose assembly to the jacketed hose systems to form a sealing connection. The coupler features a step portion having an annular groove for positioning a sealing structure for providing a sealing connection between the jacketed hose assembly and corresponding jacketed hose systems. A cylindrical flange surrounds the coupler and secures the coupler to the corresponding jacketed hose system.
