Abstract

An inspection tool suitable for use in inspecting concealed places in a building comprises a series of flexible rods (4) detachably connectible together end to end, a camera assembly (1) detachably connectible to one end of the series of rods and a display unit (2) including a receiver for receiving a wireless transmission from the camera assembly (1) and a display (3) for displaying a picture generated from the wireless transmission. The camera assembly (1) has, in a direction transverse to the longitudinal axis of the rods in the region of the connection to the camera when in use the rods (4) are connected together and to the camera, a maximum dimension less than 50 mm. The camera assembly (1) includes a camera (18), a light source (18A) for illuminating a region in the field of view of the camera, a battery and an electric circuit for generating a wireless transmission from the signal received from the camera.
