Abstract

The invention relates to methods for the treatment of cells with electric fields in order to modify the membrane permeability of said cells with the aid of lipophilic ions as a medium additive. The invention more particularly relates to cell electroporation and electrofusion methods using lipophilic ions as a medium additive.
